He his the softest least protected part of his head on the ground violently. Even if he didn’t get his bell wrung the week before the same thing would’ve happened. @@userknonothing Thanks, You, but you believe the opposite of what Jesus said over and over in the Gospels (more than he said anything else?): that prayer *_is_* foolproof, e.g. _”Ask and _*_it will_*_ be given to you.. For everyone who asks receives.”_ [Matt 7:7-8]. So my question to any *Christian*: why not prevent these injuries? Thanks.
@userknonothing
Жыл бұрын
@@SpeckleKen "foolproof" not in the actual verse.. maybe your interpretation. Your sole interpretation also not the foolproof meaning of the verse. One doesn't have to receive exactly what they are asking for.. in the exact timing/way they want it.. to receive answers responses or blessings from prayer. Ask and pray to God to protect you in a Football game one could still get hurt.. then off to spend more time with family? Find cancer in the body? Help shift and focus perspective onto other things.. an injury could be shitty and bad all the way around depending on situation.. perspective. Can also open the door to other amazing different things in time. If you don't get hurt via praying about it or not saying a prayer in your life then the plan lies ahead. God speed
@SpeckleKen
Жыл бұрын
@@userknonothing Actually, no! It is not my interpretation: Jesus *did* say in the Gospels that everything prayed for by a believer would happen! You may not like that Jesus said this but be did, and he said it over and over: _“If you believe, you will receive _*_whatever_*_ you ask for in prayer."_ [Jesus in Matt 21:22] _”For everyone who asks receives.”_ [Jesus, when asked about prayer, Luke 11:9-10] _”Ask and _*_it will_*_ be given to you... For everyone who asks receives.”_ [Jesus teaching prayer, Matt 7:7-8] _”You may ask me for _*_anything_*_ in my name, and I will do it.”_ [Jesus in John 14:14] _”Therefore I tell you, _*_whatever_*_ you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”_ [Jesus in Mark 11:24] Etc., etc. In saying that "one doesn't have to receive exactly what they are asking for" you are saying that *your interpretation* is _either_ that Jesus lied _or_ the Gospel writers misquoted him. Is either of those not a problem for someone calling himself "Christian"?

@@bradd5112 When he went down the first time, I didn't think it looked that bad, but his inability to walk normally was a big clue that it was serious. But then they put him back in the game in the 3rd quarter "because he was showing no concussion signs". I didn't see it when it happened, it was when I heard about it on Sportscenter and what I saw just screamed out to me that he needed to be in a hospital. THEN when it happened again 5 days later and we saw his fingers all contorted, that is a horrible neurological sign of a brain injury. Heads should roll and the doctors who were involved with this should not just be fired, but lose their license as well. Their motto is to "harm no one" in short terms. This Sunday there were 2 more I believe who left their games after being hit. I don't think they were helmet to helmet either, but the head paid the price. They need to take these injuries more seriously.
Every one is so educated now on concussions-also what happened to Hamlin has everyone on alert. I like that the Bronco’s staff immediately went to help Hines until Colt trainers could reach him and his fellow Colts players grabbed him first to keep him from falling. Everyone is tuned into this injury which is best for the player’s safety. Thanks for the video.

If you pay close attention to his left hand, it’s in a “fencing position.” It doesn’t stand out because of his gloves, but it’s there.
not a dirty play, just a party of the game sometimes. I'm glad to see staff coming together to help protect someone. I hope he feels better soon and recovers fully.
Homie at 0:59 is an absolute gem human. First medical personal there. Kept him from falling flat on his face. Last guy (Broncos staff wise) to go off. S Tier.

Sometimes you are the hammer. Sometimes you are the nail. Crazy to think 30 years ago. It was “he just got his bell rung” or “he has to get the cob webs out”. Back within a week
It's amazing: Sometimes guys get totally laid out and are fine. Other times a hit like this can take you out. You never know when it's coming.
Man! The hit looked like nothing but that was scary. Sad how there’s really no way to protect the brain. Helmets basically just prevent skull fractures, but not brain trauma.
I remember watching a commercial a few weeks ago of the NFL bragging about their helmets and reduced concussions. Yet, I keep seeing serious concussions with these players every week.
As huge NFL fan, I love these Thursday night games but It’s really bad for these player who have to play Football again after 3 days.

I played back yard football and never suffered a concussion(no equipment to give a false sense of security). It wasn't until I joined the junior high team in 9th grade that I started to get injured. The equipment creates a hard shell that transfers all the energy to the soft tissue human who wears it. It also gives a false sense of security to the wearer.

Yup, almost like kids shouldn't be playing a sport that virtually guarantees brain injuries.
There were also 4 different college knockout hits last Saturday. Never seen that before. Odd cause of Tua situation that Thursday then all a sudden, 4 teams same deal.
Looks like a clean hit too, too bad for hines hope he rests up and gets healthy soon

the older i get, the harder it is for me to watch football honestly. guy’s running into each other at full speed just to entertain; risking their mental/physical health. is it really worth it?
Miami staff: WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!? ITS JUST A TOE INJURY!
This JUST happened last week. If he is playing again anytime soon the public will lose all confidence that the NFL cares at all about player safety, if they haven’t already

Just a note both tua and Hines use the Riddell speed flex SF-2BD-SW as their helmet and they both have had extremely serious concussions with the same type of impact to the back of the head the NFL needs to do another check on what helmets are or aren't safe because this Helmet seems to have an issue
@skyrimdovah420
Жыл бұрын
Another note this helmet is now the top used helmet in the NFL and considered to be impressively safe since it's debut In 2014 so it's entirely possible that this is a manufacturer error but they need to look into this speedflex helmet now
This year it's more injuries in the league happening so fast that it's crazy but hey it's football
