Glad you enjoyed! The differences between regular and extra are: Extra is made with three piri-piri peppers per tin instead of the usual one, AND stored for a minimum of three months before being released so that the capsaicin has time to suffuse through the contents of the tin.

@@keeanmorishita8457 The heat level isn’t changed. How much that level of heat has permeated the flesh of the fish may change, up to maximum absorption, which no one has tested. Imagine adding a drop of ink to a glass of water. Eventually, Brownian motion will evenly distribute the molecules. Same with the heat. The tin can’t spontaneously generate more capsaicin molecules, but over time they will diffuse fully into the contents.

@@rob379lqz I'm putting dines in everything. Best thing is the shell shaped pasta, buttered, and mixed with a can of Crown Prince Mediterranean Style dines with chopped up rind of preserved lemons. Is heaven on a stick!

Got a friend in her thirties, She has her own condo flies passenger planes Lives far away, She met an old Portuguese lady in her condo association, They now do sardine tastings At the old lady's condo. They just had nuri spiced Last night because I send them sardines That I get from Dan. Wish I could send you the pictures they sent me. Portuguese lady puts An old world platter out, Quartered pickled eggs olives red peppers cucumber cauliflower etc and fresh rolls and white wine. To think I used to eat Canadian tined sardines in my truck every day. No comparison in taste or venue lol..still love the vids. Got to order some more from Dan. Thanks

Thanks a lot. I love orange cats, they're so friendly. We have one we adopted maybe four months ago, Bug, and he is so cuddly and friendly. He and Gorgar were instant best friends, which was one of the things that was disappointing about Gorgar's passing.

I just placed my 2nd order with Dan at RTG & they’ll be shipped out on Tuesday July 5th, I can’t wait… I’ve been wanting to try some Yurrita’s but they’ve been out of stock for a while & finally got some in so I got some of those & some Conservas de Combatos (my local gourmet store has everything BUT sardines from them), I ceramic tinned fish dish which was also previously out of stock but available now & a couple other tins. I’m really looking forward to the package arriving. I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty, I lost my kitty a few months ago & it’s still hard, I still tear up. New subscriber from the UK here. KZread offered me up your video "How to Eat Canned Sardines (ELIMINATE THE FEAR)". As a big canned fish/seafood fan, this was like Manna from Heaven and is like a conversation I've had with many of my friends! Having lived on the coast of France, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, these countries have eating small fish ingrained in them, unlike here in the UK where we are surrounded by water and hardly anyone ventures to experiment past Cod or Haddock. Keep up the good work. Have you tried canned octopus, mussels, sea urchins etc? I'll keep watching your videos and I'm sure I'll find that you have. Have a great day.

Just wanted to thank you for this channel. I've been eating wild planet sardines for a while and trying to find any way possible to cover up the flavor. I ate them solely for nutritional value but one day instead of putting in my routine Amazon order I thought, why not see what else is out there?... Down through the rabbit hole, I discovered your channel and treated myself to some Nuri's, ate them straight out of the can and it was life-changing. A true appreciation for the simple things, thanks for broadening my horizons!

Finally tried these Nuri spiced deens today. They are incredible. Leagues above other sardines including polar and king oscar. Glad i listened to your reviews insted of just going cheap.

Just tried nuri spicy and nuri spicy tomato. They're sooo good! Oh my gosh! If you're thinking of trying deenz out and you're worried about them being too fishy, these are just perfect. They're firm and flavorful but mild as can be. Wonderful! Thanks for the recommendation, Matthew.

Dude i just got a pack of the flybyjing chili crisp smoked salmon and I couldnt keep myself from eating all 3 cans in a week....Thanks for the rec!

Got my A man zone order of the Extry Spicy Nuris a few days ago. Just dove deep into the first can. 4 chile's from parts unknown. At least 2 maybe even 3 cucumber slices that fell apart picking them up. 3 big pilchards. And have mercy! This can of Nuri's lit me up like a pinball machine hooked up to 220v. The burn was nice but faded fast after about 10 minutes. I usually eat all my meals with pickled jalapeno's but these sardines were fantastic on their own. Muchas gracias Matthew for turning me on to these super wombat ono grindz. I should also mention I drank the oil from the can too. Y'all don't want to waste any of that goodness. Mahalo!

Here I am, watching the 30th video in two days on canned fish, and I absolutely positively hate fish. I’ll never even want to try these. But the style is super fun, the host very engaging, and I find myself hoping he moves into my school district so we can be sick bros and poor sardine oil into a bully’s gas tank.

You got me hooked i say! I was actually specifically looking for those roasted eel in chili at my local japanese store, but i ended up leaving with some sardines, saury, and squid in sweet soy sauce (or at least i think for the squid, it was 'seasoning squid' but ingredients were squid soy sauce, sugar etc... so im guessing the flavor profile will be saltier but similar). I did end up getting some frozen roast eel when I asked her, but idk what im going to do with it, i am really sensitive to my house smelling like cooked food, and im guessing that eel is gonna be a STRONG BOI

This channel is top tier. I got my first order from Dan 2 week ago. If anyone plans on ordering I highly recommend the Hagoromo deens in soy sauce they’re so good. Gonna try Angelo’s Parodis next. Keep up the great content Matt!

I just realized i live an, hour from RTG, i know my first spring road trip!

I usually don't eat them. I think the Nuri ones are okay but sometimes you get a little pepper that's just too tough.

It would be interesting to see which canneries belong to which brands. we need a good insider perspective on how canneries work, in terms of that. That would help to get a better idea of which products to invest in and which to avoid. For example, it seems most of the Moroccan sardines are canned similarly, with only small differences in packaging, labeling and the oils. So how does it work? do they have their own factories? or is it a shared facility that different distributors use? I guess if they add their own spices, per company, it doesn't really matter, but it still would be cool to know.

I had the regular spiced nuris. They were very tasty, not as good as the ones in tomato sauce, but they were exceptionally mild for my taste. Still very good sardines.

I never had sardines and after learning how good they are for you i started with Nuri...did i just ruin myself for enjoying another brand? I introduced them to my 9yo daughter (shes always loved smoked oysters and clams so sardines were on her hit list) and created a damned monster. She likes them all. I get the wild planet brand for her cause she likes the bones/spine for the crunch...weirdo. I did really enjoy the nuri in spiced olive oil and plain, i still have the tomato and spiced tomato to try. I feel like i may have ruined myself for lesser brands though lol.
