Here is an other video of the plaid in super wet Nurburgring conditions
Everyone knows that the nordschleife is tricky on the dry, but on wet it is again an other story!!!
The asphalt is super slippery for the following reasons:
1/ it is an old tarmac (some places has more than 50 years old asphalt)
2/There is a lot of painting on the tarmac which increase the slippery
3/ The temperature when is raining are always cold and make difficult to maintain the tires at the right temperature
For all of these reasons, the track is then complicate and dangerous when wet....but with the Plaid it is miraculous 😇
Kudos to the incredible Michelin PS4s who are simply the best road legal tires in these conditions, but also to the incredible traction of this 1000hp car, the three motors just pass the power on the asphalt perfectly with almost no spin!! Try that on a 700hp gt2 rs 🤣
That make an awesome car in these conditions and because a lots of peoples are scared to drive, we can almost have an empty track🤩
Important to use the rain lines as much as possible as you can see in the video🤙🏻

I love how an actual race driver like yourself expresses their love for the fun of racing EVs. They’re definitely fun cars, and are often criticized for being inferior to combustion in that area of enjoyment. Sure, it doesn’t vibrate and rumble and produce beautiful engine notes, but they are definitely fun to spin around corners with that instant torque. Thanks for the awesome content Sebastian, keep ‘em coming!

I have found my Plaid with 19" and PirelliPZero are incredible in the rain. Even though our national speed limit in USA is artificially low! When the car is pushed at or near the limit in these conditions it has not LET ME DOWN! It sticks like glue and although I'm a little apprehensive...I am not even 1/100th the driver as you or others that follow your channel. It's great to know that Tesla engineering is at the TOP!!! =) Danke for your videos!

Small wheels and less diameter of tire is always good on rain/snow 😃👍🏻 I think this car can get the best of both world il 20’ wheels 👍🏻

Ps4s really are such and incredible tire. Traction control with electric motors certainly helps too lol
Model 3 Performance owner here. Only 5 days of ownership and acceleration is way too fast for our UK road and grip is also excellent on wet. I can not get my head around how the Plaid would make my body feels even the MP3 is nuts. Love these cars, not just because of performance, but every day usage and free charge for me at work. Also the tech inside the car and Tesla app in the phone is just amazing.

What are you thoughts on the yoke steering wheel?
Did you purposely turn the indigator on or was it accidental. Some people hate buttons on the yoke.
Could you please lower the Camera 30 - 50mm to get better view under the mirror.. Love your vids, hope to drive the Ring one day. (have MYP on order)

What is the knocking noise sounds like the brake pedal return, the car is so quiet cheers.
At least it works not that bad in wet conditions obviously. 👍Maybe the driver helps a bit as well... 😉

@@Maody66TV no a tdi 150 on 16’ wheels 😂 That is simply the fastest car i found for traveling from my home to Nurburgring 😅 no need to refuel and medium speed on autobahn 170kmh in confort just perfect. 780kms distance home-nurburg, in same traffic conditions: With the tesla: 7h30 Easy jet (including car rental etc): 7h With the golf…. 5h20 🤷🏻♂️

My Model Y brakes do that clicking sound too. I think it’s when the car applies the brake automatically when the one pedal “regen” braking needs stopping help. My guess it’s a safety indicator. But, I don’t know if the brakes activate automatically in track mode. I think they do by default.
The clouds above the glass roof are beautiful to watch as the car serenely laps this track.

That brake pedal is getting annoying when you release it hard. There should be a rubber stopper or something on it. :-) Love the car!

Nice :) What suspension Settings are you using? Default low with auto or more compression and rebound? And did you change the torque split f/r? I have been surprised how fast the torque vector arrives in a turn…

We cannot adjust suspensions in track mode, it stays on sport and low

@@johnhadlow9345 in track mode we can even not adjust the power mode, it stay in « Plaid » which is a shame because on rain i would prefer « sport » mode 🤷🏻♂️

I had an F10M Comp a while ago which was slower but predictable-I liked it-the Plaid I need to go on a track and see what it does once it lets go. Are you going to do the expensive brakes when they finally come?

Très bonne conduite comme d'habitude mais que c'est ennuyeux.... Les vidéos avec la GT2 RS et l'ancienne GT3 RS était tellement plus plaisante 👍 Bien sûr, ta nouvelle 992 GT3 est tout aussi incroyable, surtout en boîte manuelle !
