remember to turn down your volume, as a lot of the audio here are distorted. unlike all these intros, Lagos TV had a decent intro kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6iBwcabg8excc4.html In the early 80s, Nigeria was richer to the point they had a bigger economy than Australia at one point, now as seen here. The quality of their motion graphics have deteriorated faster than Venezuela's motion graphics (they were near Brazil's levels in the 1990s, and from there their graphics stayed pretty much the same to this day when they could have been better had they not experience their economic downfall) NTA Sokoto could have had potential, as there are actually recordings of the TV station from at least 1978, they even have a memorable series back then and EifelDX even has a staticy reception of the station that was recorded in 1983.

Am I the only one that really likes this main news theme? It's also quite rare for many stations to use traditional music in these types of intros even considering how this one lasted for so long.

Because the so-called composers are from Africa, and it's nothing weird that they can't come up with anything better than hitting and smashing ivory bones or constantly opening and closing the door to make music. This piece of crap shouldn't even be called "music."

@@schokokaina You're of course perceiving it on some different way ig. Many African traditional music tends to be percussive in structure so it turns out pretty alien-ish to you. Or, by you mean you're making off your whole opinion over the low-quality thing happening at 12:07...

The Newsline intro is basically just the Jorge Baron Television 1991 logo of news intros
Oh man, they nicked Quiet Life by Japan for the Tuesday Live theme.
Also oh my god what is the News Extra theme like I know it's probably something cultural but it sounds so unpleasing

good one! but the Lagos newscasters beat others hands down! the diction, sophistication,sauve is top notch even for that time. please load more from the golden era of NTA; Sienne, Ronke Ayuba,Elizabeth, Tokunboh, Donald, John Momoh and his wife, Lola Alakija, etc

The NTA Jalingo news intro shown in the video has been recently replaced with a new one
Discovered that in 20:06 the countdown to the NTA Sokoto logo has the same music as Klan Debat (from Klan Macedonia). This is stock music
Also, what did they smoke while making the channel 12 ident?

Time to just note some things The intro at 0:47 is no longer used as of the 14th of July 2017. And the real date for the introduction for the intro at 5:34 was first used on July 17th, 2017. these intros are...disgusting, although it's africa only intros from 2000s (i mean 0:47, 1:32, 8:44, 10:04) are better than current ones (and sorry for bad english because i am from foreign country and i am just started learning english deeper)
