NRA Museum Guns

Спорт

Recently I had the opportunity to visit the new satellite location of the NRA's National Firearms Museum. It is located in Bass Pro's headquarters store in Springfield, Missouri. The museum has an outstanding collection of military, sporting and personal defense firearms spanning history from the late Middle Ages to the present. This video has just a small sample of the collection on display.

Hey Mike. I myself am an old west firearms and revolver enthusiast. Seeing all of these Old West firearms is just incredible. If ever seen How the West Was Won, in the scene where Gregory Peck is playing the poker game the covered wagon, he actually pulls out an Adams Navy revolver. Great video!

I live about 100 miles from Springfield Mo. My wife, teenage kids, and myself make it a point to stop in and visit Bass Pro Shops everytime we are in Springfield which is usually a hald dozen times a year. Each time we stop in there, there is something new to see. The firearms museum has got to be my favorite addition, although across from the firearms is the archery museum that I truly enjoy visiting as well

Excellent revue Mike. Nice to see some British pistols . You'll appreciate that we cannot own pistols with a few special exceptions here in England. I really like your interesting but relaxed approach to your articles without the need for frantic load heavy metal introducts.

that Remington 07 looks like the Patriarch of the 51 pistol. They just released a new production of that pistol in 9mm, retaining the nostalgic design features.

It's funny how the timing sometimes works out. Capandball just uploaded an awesome video of that Savage revolver you posted. He shoots it, gives some history, and even takes it apart to show the unique internal workings. You should check it out.

God luck with getting Uberti to make a birdshead 1875 Remington. I have bugged them for years to bring out the 1860 Henry and the 1866 Winchester copies in .44 Russian caliber without success.

That's a cool video.I subscribe to the NFM channel here on youtube and they are the Smithsonian of guns.Phil Shrier and Jim Supica have probably handled all of the world's rarest guns.I'd love to see that diplay or the main one in Virgina but it's just too far. I saw the other day where Remington is going to start making the Mod. 51 again only this time it will be 9mm.
