I got this saw because of your review. One thing to note on this saw. I use ridgid shop vacs with hepafilters and dust deputies. The 1” ridgid connection fits the dust port perfectly with no issues.

I love this track saw. This is the biggest upgrade to my home shop in years. Breaking down sheets is so much faster and more accurate than using my table saw ever was. Just added some Bessey quick release lever handle track clamps and a squaring system to make it even more convenient. Add in the new 12ah batteries I picked up a 2 pack of, and I can break down all the sheets I would need in a day without running out of power. Just waiting for TSO to release their square for it, coming next year.

The numbers on the clear side guard are to show you where the blade with end based on how deep you are plunging. This is necessary for when you are performing a plung cut where the cut doesn't have an entrance or an exit on the material. One example: cutting a square out of the middle of a sheet.

Came here to say this. For example, if you're plunging 1" deep, the ”1" mark shows where the leading edge of the blade exits the cut, and you finish by jigsaw or by hand.

So glad that you like the Rigid track saw. I started years ago with Rigid for the LSA. I have not been dissapointed so far. I wanted a cordless track saw, but didnt want to add another battery line to my shop. While it may not be a Festool, or Milwaukee, it fits my budget much better as an amatuer woodworker. I look forward to seeing video's as I feel that you are definitely trustworthy. just enough humor and tech combined. Please keep them coming.

A track saw shootout would be very interesting, especially this saw against the Kreig and other similarly priced saws. Personally I do wish it wasn't cordless though (or they make some kind of a transformer adapter to make it not cordless) - Before I get roasted for this, hear me out: 1) You're already running a hose to the saw for dust collection and dragging it along while cutting, so adding an extension cord to isn't a big deal (Velcro straps to the hose, now they move together as one, it's not that much heavier, and it only takes a minute to do) and I didn't see a battery or a charger in the box, so that changes the saw's price point if you're not in the Rigid platform... 2) An extension cord doesn't have to integrate into an existing battery system or stand out as an odd ball tool if, for example, you're heavily invested into DeWalt cordless tools like I am 3) Extension cords always work. They don't take time to charge or ever even need to be recharged, and it is never half dead when you put it into a tool... 4) Unless you trip a breaker or somehow unplug it, extension cords never die mid-cut or cause the saw to bog down as the battery is getting low... It's been my experience with cordless saws that long rip cuts really drain batteries. To me, that seems to be a problem on a saw where one of it's principle uses is doing exactly that, unless you're already in that battery system and have additional packs, but if you aren't, that radically changes the price equation and value proposition I freely admit some of that preference may just be my particular use case - If I am breaking down sheet goods, it's multiple sheets at once for a project

I don't think it's particularly controversial to want a corded saw vs a cordless one. I agree with you! A corded saw for this purpose would make this tool better for anyone who hasn't invested primarily in Rigid products (I don't know anyone who is primarily Rigid, I'm sure they're out there, but far more rare than Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, etc). It's also going to add the cost of a big boy battery, which might push it over the cost of the Milwaukee if you're already primarily on those.

I’m subscribed to your channel and on your Facebook group but I’m gonna have to call you and ridged out on the track system. I have Milwaukee tracks, Festool track and power tech tracks, and I have never had a problem, marring my saw to any of those tracks. That being said, by the time you buy the proprietary rigid 60 inch track you’re not saving much money over the Milwaukee Makita or even the Festool . You can get a Milwaukee for $399 you can get two 55 inch powertec tracks with connectors for $129-$149 that puts you at $529 to $549. The rigid $399 comes with two 27 1/2 inch tracks. Then you buy the 60 inch track for probably around $100 so that put you at about $500 so you’re saving about $50. . And not being able to buy a track square or parallel guides is a negative that’s why it was a big mistake to go with a proprietary track. It ends up making the saw cost more plus eliminates additional options. And you’re really not saving anything. And for the people thinking that the ridgid comes with a battery and a charger for $399 it does not. I can’t remember if he mentioned that his review or not if he didn’t he should probably clear that up .

Rigid kit comes with battery and charger. I take that into account when I’m not in one of those other platforms anymore. So add $150 at the low end for a Milwaukee battery and charger and I’m saving $200

Sorry, totally disagree with your points…Milwaukee won’t pair properly with a Powertec Track (anti-tip 45 degree feature won’t engage properly). Also, you failed to factor in battery costs. Finally, which most are missing, this is a 5/8 arbor which gives you the opportunity to purchase a host of saw blades, often for much less than blades for a 20mm arbor size (try and find a 20mm arbor Hardie Blade for instance). 731 is right, this is an exceptional value! Does it have all the bells and whistles of the Milwaukee or Festool, nah, but that is the point…Best value Track Saw to soon be on the market. Excellent video and overview of the saw!!!

@@ajdizzle4shizzle powertec tracks does have the anti-tip slot on their tracks. It aligns with the Milwaukee a little tight and is loose on the Makita but the anti-tip feature has nothing to do with the saw pairing with the track or not. That is not a feature every track saw has so that is a mute point I have the Milwaukee saw, and I have a Festool track saw they both pair on the powertec track, the festool does not have the anti-tip feature it is a feature I do not use on the Milwaukee either, but it will pair on the track. You are bringing up mute points and I’m not trying to be mean but you’re obviously not that familiar with tracksaw’s. The reason Milwaukee ,Makita , DeWalt , ect went with a 20 mm arbor is because most people that are woodworkers or professional carpenters are already invested into a traksaw system. They already have blades they already have tracks they already have squares. So this makes them all compatible in that regard . The rigid has less power than all of those saws the rigid Also does not have a scoring feature you also have to buy an adapter for dust collection for most systems , and finally, like I said, I run the Milwaukee on those power tech tracks almost every day. As far as battery cost, the ridgid doesn’t come with batteries, or a charger for $399 so that is something you’re gonna have to buy regardless if you’re not in one of these systems.

@@JB-ez2jz no the ridgid kit does not come with a battery and a charger. It comes with a saw the two pieces of track and connectors a blade and that’s it.

I find that I can do the same things as a track saw with my homemade guides. 1/2 ply base with 1x1 straight edge backer to run the saw against. Using 6 1/2 inch Rigid battery powered saw, cuts through sheet goods fine for me. Use my shop vac for dust collection with the built in dust port. 4 foot and 8 foot guides around $60.00 for both. That being said, not being negative or a hater....just saving the $400.00 + for other tools.

I'm not sure that riving knife offers that much better plunging. Looks like if you punched into your stock if sitting right on top of it, the riving knife would still get in the way.

I am a big fan of Ridgid line even before it had the LSA, I have the old 12" miter saw, and the old belted table saw. I am currently building my 18volt line of tools (yes all of them are registered under the LSA) and have not have had a single issue with any of them. The tracksaw is on my bucket list to buy (come on Santa Claus lol) granted it is a want item not a need but when I need one I need one. I am a weekend woodworking warrior and not a full time woodcrafter so this would fit the void of dealing with full sheet cutups. Sorry I missed ya'll when you were down in Nashville recently as it is just a few hours drive from down here in GA.

Your wish is answered. I just picked up a 60" track. Solves the problem of cutting across a sheet of plywood. I also picked up the 2-27.5" set for smaller jobs. Still waiting on the saw kit.

I think you should add the Milescraft or whatever universal track with "your favorite saw" up against these other track saws to compare the cost of just buying the track with a tool you already have vs a dedicated extra tool.

Still waiting for this to drop! No sign of it anywhere. I was quite surprised to see the video on your channel. I’ve been invested in the Ridgid line of cordless tools for over 15 years and have been very satisfied with their performance. I’m also a Union Electrician that does exclusively industrial and commercial work and use Milwaukee, Makita tools daily. Milwaukee are used almost exclusively in my area now. The Ridgid are very well built and perform just as well in my opinion at about half the price. I do wish that they had a more diverse catalog of tools similar to Ryobi/Milwaukee.

I got the saw a few weeks back after dealing with Home Depot’s horrible online ordering and delivery service. Had to go back on 3 different occasions to fix the order. Anyways the saw is next level in fit and finish. Lots of power, the tracks are really nice and I got it in a bundle with the additional 60” track for $488. I was upset to see the price drop $150 a few days after I ordered it as a “special buy of the day” and I called customer service. They only offered to refund $50 back to my account, oh well. Go to pick up the saw a few days later and they can’t find it or the additional track. Come back next day and they found the saw but no track. Well I ordered the Milwaukee 12v fuel combo set with free tool and just figured I would pick up the track when the Milwaukee kit comes in. A few days go by and I pick up the Milwaukee set and they bring out this giant 8’ monstrosity wrapped in heavy duty contractor garbage bags and I was like “ wow, they really over did the packaging on this one!”. Opened it up in the store and realized it was some sort of 2’x8’ composite wall track for tool organizing. Not at all close to what I ordered and an hour later trying to fix the mixup I was refunded $130, but had to purchase the track at retail price without the kit discount. A few days later it gets delivered to my house and it’s finally correct, but the package had gone on sale again as a “ daily deal” so I call up customer service again and this time they refund me the full difference of price. In the end I payed about $280 for the track saw kit with additional 60” track. 3 trips to Home Depot, and 3 weeks of waiting for deliveries. I would of been happy if they got it right the first time, but then again I have never had an online Home Depot order that wasn’t horribly wrong and a pain in the behind.

Same here, picked Rigid because of LSA. I had a mix of BnD and Makita over the years and when I wanted to finally commit to a specific battery line based on the avail of tools, Rigid won. Recently I picked up the Rigid battery chainsaw and it works great. I swapped out the 12" bar for a 16" and it has not let me down. I have been waiting for this track saw. Next will be the new brushless leaf blower and the new lawn trimmer. I have all the Ryobi Expand-IT heads for my gas Ryobi and waiting to see if they will work on the new RIgid system. HD has not confirmed it yet, but the pics looks like it they should work. Last item to wait for is the new Rigid backpack sprayer.

Amazing comparison & thank you for doing this video gives a whole lot than I expected. Definitely far better quality when you compare with ryobi. Love the saw & planning to invest in the 60" track

Thank you for your thoughtful reviews. I am also a fan of the Ridgid tool line. I have rarely used the 'plunge' feature of my tracksaw and don't think that is a really important function, but I note that the riving knife on this saw will actually block the blade from plunging because there wouldn't be a pre-existing kerf for it to fit into. Just a nit, I agree, but you seem to feel the way this tools riving knife articulates is an important improvement over the Ryobi; I just don't think it will allow a true plunge cut.

I am with the "cord" crowd (if there are enough of us to make a crowd) when it comes to extended run-time tools. Still, while I know there are plenty of people that prefer your build videos, I find your tool reviews very helpful and will watch them whether I'm in the market for the tool or not.

Definitely need a comparison of at least the Kreg track saw. Was slightly underwhelmed that while the Kreg was called out in the thumbnail of the video, it was hardly ever mentioned at all. 😊

I just bought a Grizzly Track saw and it came with 3 tracks that total up to 9 feet in lenth. Its a corded saw but is very well made in my opinion. The saw comes all together [no pieces] and has a riving knife as well. I haven't found but a few review video's and I thought that you would be very honest if you did a review. Love all your video's.

Years ago, I chose the Ridgid line for lifetime battery replacement and lifetime service agreement. I know that there is always a product that is a little better or little less expensive. Rigid has not disappointed me though. While sometimes I wish that I chose Dewalt or Milwaukee, overall the Ridgid line has performed very well for me as a DIY'er and I am excited to hear such a good review for this saw. I hope to make this my next big tool purchase.

I submitted two warranty claims with Rigid and they refused them both. No abuse of the tools, no overuse, just weekend warrior stuff. Love the looks of this track saw, but thanks to that, Rigid will never make it into my shop again.

@@thebeardedcanadianadventures Did you have the tools registered correctly? I have made a few claims and they fixed them all. Most were easy. The only one that took a bit of effort was on my R4512 table saw where they replaced the motor because there was a bad bearing in a fan and they didn't have just the fan replaceable - so basically made it a brand new saw. The effort was that it's harder to bring in a full size table saw than it is a router or something for repair.

​@@thebeardedcanadianadventuresI have had issues with the 'service agreement' as well. It isn't a warranty and as soon as they stop making parts for your tool, you are screwed. I will also never buy their products again because of service issues with them.

The Ryobi track saw is great for what it is. Aimed at DIY. No problems with it at all. Price is a bit too high though. Rigid tracks and clamps look like the same spec as Ryobi. Can't wait for the TTI versus video

A TTI head to head or toe to toe sounds like a great video!

I definitely can use one for my small shop. I had purchased a Wen, but I dropped it before I ever had a chance to use it... I am now waiting for this Ridgid to be released.. Thanks for the information!!

Great review if I ever need one this is the one I would buy.

This does look like a good offering as far as it goes, but the decision to go with a proprietary track is interesting. While just saw+track is useful, IMHO the utility of a tracksaw increases with the addition of appropriate accessories - parallel guides, square, router plates, table system. Kreg also went with a proprietary track but at least supplied some additional elements to the system, and you're finally seeing 3rd part aftermarket support as well. Getting compatibility with all the aftermarket accessories is obviously what you get with Festool rail compatibility, so eschewing that *may* mean that Ridgid is intending to build a system around it. Guess we'll see. As I already own the Kreg I wouldn't consider making a lateral move to the Ridgid, but I might take a serious look if I was just buying into a system.

I'll keep my kreg. It's the only one I've seen with the saw blade on the left or "RIGHT"side for right handed operators. I like be able to see where my blade is without having to lean over the saw.

Agree, 100%. I don’t understand the rationale by manufacturers who put the blade on the wrong side for most users. I’ve stuck with a Ryobi 5.5” circular saw for a long time past what I should have, simply because the alternatives are right side blades.

One thing I never see mentioned is rubber guide replacement. If you change your blade for any reason, then the cut line may be at a different position. With your contacts, can you find out if they're replaceable? Thanks.

Nice. My only problem is that it's cordless. I have a shop to use it in with plenty of power receptacles, but it's getting harder and harder to find corded tools. Since I have a Milwaukee cordless drill I already have batteries and a charger. I don't want multiple chargers and batteries. Just offer it with a cord people.

Great video. Thanks! I have some small Ridgid and Milwaukee cordless tools, but none of the bigger ones that need the more expensive batteries. So, picking one system and running with it seems important. Can you make a video comparing the two systems when considering buying Track Saw + 10in Miter saw + compact table saw + router? I'm particularly interested in low noise and low dust, both when including whatever best after-market improvements exist. There are no comparisons out there that address this combination.

Great video. The only gripe I have as a cordless tool owner is the investment in batteries and space required for chargers. And yes you will need at least two batteries for any tool line so one is always charging. I did check on two sites and Ridgid batteries are just as pricey as the other big boys. Cheers.

Can this be adapted to the Festool mft3 or the Kreg ACS top (with the hinges…can you attach the track to the ACS hinges at the ends?)

Huge mistake not making it compatible with Makita and Festool tracks. I bought and after one day's use returned the Kreg saw. I loved the fact it was right-handed but hated the cord, it had no power, kicked back like a drunk mule and was generally way too fiddly and of course the track wasn't compatible with Makita/Festool, so you lose access to a tremendous amount of accessories. Jumped onto the Makita 40v as I had 3 years experience with the dual 18v and knew Makita made a solid product. The difference was night and day in cut quality, speed, ease of use and power. The Makita absolutely never kicks back and has no riving knife (they're not needed if the saw is designed correctly). And yes, the battery powered Makita is much more powerful than the corded Kreg. I've been using Ridgid tools since 1999 but only where they provide a great cost benefit. In most cases competitor products have been better, but at higher premium, so the only Ridgid tools I have at the moment are a table saw and a small portable wet/dry vac. This saw looks like a great value, especially if it's still TTI and has the Lifetime agreement, unlike their Delta-based tools.

Great review. My two cents, The best tracksaw all around, including cost, capability, accessories, and quality is the Makita (dual 18v). It’s not that much more $ than the Rigid when you buy the bundle and compare apples to apples. It also goes on sale regularly. The track saw use case really shines when you embrace the entire European MFT concept. Milwaukee, Rigid, Dewalt, Ryobi, WEN all missed this. It’s a big miss in my opinion. If all you are doing is breaking down sheet goods, there are just as good cheaper alternatives. If you have a tablesaw and are using the tracksaw to rip 8/4 hardwood or 2x material I’m wondering why. If you have a mitre saw and are using the tracksaw to crosscut 2x material, I’m wondering why. However, if you are just getting into woodworking you can buy a tracksaw and MFT system for much less than a cabinet style tablesaw and quality mitre saw and do practically everything most woodworkers need to do. Watch some of the Europeans YT channels that use the MFT system because they have very small shops, they build amazing furniture with the tracksaw as their principal tool.

I have the table saws & miter saws, etc..and do a lot of wood work breaking down sheets in cabinet work and speaker enclosure’s. And I still break down all my sheets with a track saw before Final Cut, though I really don’t need to with the square guides and such. If they missed this, It’s an instant no for me personally, just in time savings. And time indeed equals profit in this industry. I’m also with the other guy who said they missed it without a case as well. With that type of investment, I’d prefer being able to protect it

Even with table saw its just alot better to break down ply with a trac saw

Today Home Depot has this track saw with 18V 6.0 Ah MAX Output Battery for $349. I just had to buy it.

I have a corded Makita purchased before there was a battery option. Does the 18v Makita saw fit the Cordes track?

Thats all I needed to hear. Done. I am buying it on July 24th. It cut a 2bu4 and 2bu6 with ease. Love it. Great review as always. Blessings!

Watching the Ridgid track saw's riving knife descending with the blade, I don't see how a plunge cut can be made without the riving knife getting in the way. Yes, it is behind the blade, but when starting in the middle of a board, it still comes down into the wood that isn't being cut. I wish you had demonstrated an actual plunge cut in the middle of a board. I remain skeptical at this point.

The riving knife is spring loaded. So when it catches on wood, it won't go down. When the plunge is down and the saw moves forward, the riving knife then has room to move into the whole. There is another video showing that. Its like the Milwaukee track saw.

A comparison of all the track saws you have and the milescraft track system would be quite interesting i think. I'm trying to decide on a track saw or the milescraft.

I'll be interested to see if they offer a corded version of this saw. Otherwise, I'll spring for a Makita to stay with the same battery system.

You had me at Ridgid! But seriously I've been on the fence about getting a track saw, now that Ridgid is coming out with one I will have to get it. Good reminder about the warranty I have a battery that I think is toast now.

Ok I would like to ask a question in all seriousness as I've never used a track saw. I've always used a regular circular, or a rear handle with a straight edge if I need more precise cuts. Other than dust collection, what advantage does a track saw offer over a steady hand and a straight edge clamped in place?

Great review and very tempting, but not sold yet. Maybe if you could do a full sheet right out of the box, but need another $99 for the xtra track = $500. I'd like to see you test the Wen Powertec kit with a Makita B-07353 blade; 271+44+25(clamps)=$340...and can upgrade to Makita if needed down the road. Thanks and appreciate'cha.

I picked up a corded DeWalt 7 1/4 saw, the Milescraft track saw guide plus two additional tracks for around 300 bucks. I know cordless is very popular there's nothing worse than running out of juice halfway through a cut. I struggled with the decision to "cheap out" with the Milescraft or save up for a track saw. I'm very happy with my decision. Per Matt's recommendation regarding the Milescraft. It works perfectly and I get square accurate cuts. I don't do much if any beveling so it works. Love the unbiased reviews Matt! Keep em coming!

Matt, great video. Have you been able to use the Makita track saw? I have been looking at that one forever, and this one looks great. I am curious how the two compare (the only differences I can see right off the bat is that the Ridgid is battery-powered and has a riving knife).

Would really like to see a comparison between most of the major track saws. I've gone with Dewalt on battery powered hand tools but haven't heard good things about their offering on this type of tool. Is this saw good enough to justify buying into a new battery line? Today 9-13-23, these are again showing up online available. I had requested to be notified when these were again available. However, I just happened to check on my own on 9-13-23 and found these again available. I did NOT receive the notification I had asked for, so good luck on my part I checked. So, if you are waiting, check to see if they are available. I would love to hear if accessories that fit other saws, might work with the Ridgid track saw. So, I have a couple of days to wait for my saw's delivery, but have great expectations I'll be impressed and happy with the purchase. I do try to buy Ridgid when possible because of their Lifetime Service Agreement...I've only had to use it a couple of times, but when I did, it was backed with no trouble.

Great review and I'll be picking this up! When you get an adapter for the hose port can you share that? I would like to get that as well as hopefully wittwoods makes a cover for the arbor like you have on your Festool. Any links or availability info regarding those add-ons would be greatly appreciated!

Great info to think about when considering a track saw.

Just bought the Kreg and 62" rail yesterday and of course this one comes out. With military discount was $389. Haven't used it yet. What makes the Rigid $120 better than the Kreg? Should I take it back and get this one? Thanks for your reviews. You are very good at it.

I’m all rigid now for about 3 years never any issues as I was having with my Makita and dewalt tools.I really can’t say anything about rigid warranties for I’ve never had any issues to use it? I make furniture so my rigid tools are working daily.

I would love to see a "TTI Showdown"... it would be very illuminating. Also, is the Ridgid tracksaw worth the investment if you don't have that battery platform?

Thanks for doing the preview of the Ridgid track saw. After doing reviews of both the Kreg and Ridgid, how would you compare them? Any recommendations on which one to buy?

I have been saving for the Milwaukee, but this could change my mind. I would love to see a head-to-head comparison!! Of course, a good part of the Milwaukee price has to be the packout box and the much bigger battery. I have three platforms now (Milwaukee, DeWalt and 'Ryobi, so not happy about having to start another, but as faithbuildingwoodworker mentions, there is an adapter, so that may not be a deal breaker.

A Head to Head on Track Saws would be great. Maybe include a Spreadsheet that shows who has what features.

I’ve noticed the workpiece with these track saw videos don’t have any clamps to hold it in place. Is it not necessary to secure it?

Great review! I like my Ridgid tools, that being said, this saw looks like it is on track to be a somewhat fair price point, but still overpriced in my opinion. When you consider that a good circular saw can be purchased for $200, that means you are paying another $200 for two short sections of track and one clamp. One clamp is stupid, why does Ridgid do that? Now if this kit came with two 60" tracks, and two clamps, I would buy it. Also, I prefer that the blade be on the left side of the saw. For now, I will use my cheap old Ridgid circular saw and a strait chunk of lumber. It has the preferred left sided blade!

Silly question but with RIDGID using a proprietary track, do your other track accessories work with it such as the square guide?

Getting ready to start some closets. Might have to pick this up rather than fighting them on the table saw as you mentioned. FYI, the price you mentioned is for the "tool Only" so if you don't have the Rigid brand you'll need batteries. Should mention that in the video, unless I missed it.

I found this video really helpful. Can you please review the Grizzly track saw bundle too? For $229 it seems like a heck of a deal considering it comes with three 36" tracks as well as the clamps. I can see myself using a track saw for a few projects that I want to get done but not sure I want to invest $500 for a tool that I will use sporadically and I'm a big fan of Ridgid myself!

Big fan, I'm actually looking forward to more wood projects compared to tool reviews. I appreciate the knowledge that you share.

One question: Does it have the ability to do a score cut, like the Wen does? I love that feature on my Wen. Keeps from having any blowout on the top if you score it first cut, then do a full cut the 2nd time.

Yes but there is no quick setting for it. You'd just need to set the depth stop to make the scoring cut.

I am not invested in any brand yet, is this the best bang for the buck to get started with a track saw (batteries, chargers, saw, tracks, ...?

I really like this video. Your track saw reviews are very informative. Your review of the Kreg is why I bought that one last year. I have been eyeballing the ACS table for it, but I know I will more than likely eventually upgrade to the Festool when I can. I would love to see Flex come out with a track saw now that all the big boys have one.

You should try it with the 8.0 Ah High Output XP batteries. Those batteries have 21700 Cells in them, plus a noticeable bump in power on the Ridgid tools I own. Ridgid always has better sales too, so it will come down in price as well. Does the saw have “octane” contacts?

I wish this was an option was in the market a few years ago, and i went with Makita and i am very happy. I wish Ridgid went with a 2 battery, 36V system instead of 18V.

The kit I got did not come with a battery. I hope they put out a kit with a battery and charger.

I find it funny when people try to compare a mid line pro tool to a pro line (hence Ridgid/Milwaukee) when they are not even close. Try comparing it to a triton track saw ($349) to add what Milwaukee offers would put the Ridgid right in the price range of Milwaukee but it isn't. It is a $400 saw. Ryobi is a lesser line below Ridgid, DeWalt and so on. I find Ridgid's audience is hobbyist to pro. Therefore, pricing needs to reflect that. Milwaukee and Festool are geared more for the contractor line and therefore the price reflects that. There are always those hobbyists that have extra money and can enjoy that line in their shop. I personally feel that what Ridgid is offering in this saw make it a value at that price. One KZreadr you can tell is a big DeWalt personal and tried to say the Ridgid Track Saw was plastic when it is magnesium and aluminum with some plastic as do most tools. Also, said it didn't have a score setting when it does. By the Triton offers 27.5" of track as well. 30" would have added cost and I believe the track was made to be proprietary and I agree that by keeping it this way you get the best performance from your saw. Like you I wish it had more amperage for powering through but all the saws at this price range are 12 amp.

Please identify which of the versions you tagged comes with enough track for an entire 8’ sheet of plywood. Thanks. 👍🇺🇸

Thorough review, as always. Just curious as to the performance on ripping that hardwood slab if using an actual rip blade. Plywood cuts matter less with the 'general purpose' blade profile, but ripping a solid wood slab is a different animal.

I think if you got a lower tooth count blade, 24 tooth or so it would rip better.

Can you review the cordless wen track saw?

I like this other than it uses batteries I prefer corded especially for track saws having to change mid cut is a no go.

Ridgid could have an additional kit that comes with 30” tracks so we can have options! A TTI track saw head-to-head….YES PLEASE!!! Lol

I love Ridgid tools the warranty is the best around.

Matt,should do the grizzly track saw. Rigid is much more expensive than Ryobi...grizzly is even cheaper than Ryobi but much nicer imho.

Nice review! One day (if funds ever build up) I hope to get something like this, I think it would help in some cases instead of pulling out the table saw.

Too late I already purchased the Festool TS55 w/55” track (corded) last year 8/22 to replace my Grizzly track saw have sense purchased a 2nd 55” track. This Ridgid would have fit right in with my other cordless Ridgid collection
