The 70th Russian Women's Championship is a 12-player round-robin tournament taking place from 5-16 December 2020 in the Central Chess Club in Moscow, Russia.

    Funny thing is Alina was less than a minute on her clock when she decided to sacrifice her queen. Quite a decision. Even though she had calculated most of things beforehand, she still could not be 100% sure she calculated all outcomes. Or rather, she was 100% confident being 30 seconds on the clock, and that gives her extra credit.

    Love the analysis and absolutely LOVE your accent. Not sure why the accent adds to the video but I see it as part of a storytelling experience.     e3 makes it weird, the bishop is terrible, that's why the most often played move is e4 to give the bishop the space to develop, and e4 after Nc3 is what you will probably face on intermidate level while playing King's Indian as black.

    One of the best moments in the video is when Agad shows the many CHECKMATES possible.. It's very challenging to finish a game when you can feel you have 'something' in the position but can also blunder.. I've gained some experience looking for CHECKMATES.. Wonderful..!

    Love the meltdown intensity of that final attack. It often happens you have a heap of pieces up attacking the king, but cannot find a way through - I wonder how many mates like this I have failed to find.

    I had an interesting idea. Get two beginners or intermediate players to play together and analyze the mistakes they make as they go. It can be a fun mini series if you ever want different content. As much as I enjoy the complex games the theory often escapes me since I haven’t reached that level yet. I often see good games analyzed but not bad ones.

    The sound from his speakers while he's talking is fine, but once he moves, the software from Lichess has a sound effect, and THAT comes through his speakers, so people with really good headphones hear it twice.

    Thanks for that game...like you said they were just ignoring each other the whole game so that left all pieces on the board until very late in the game...it is rare to see games anymore where there is little exchanging of pieces but when you do it usually makes for a beautiful mate.
