My favourite aspect of this episode was honestly the Ahsoka and Baylan fight, not because ACTION WOOOO... but because of the way they were psyching each other out with different stances. Give me more of that in my lightsaber fights. I like seeing characters make tough decisions that aren't based in logic but emotion and instinct... because that is how humans operate... this is in reference to Sabine's choice. Also Huyang is awesome

I love Rebels so to me this is just a new Season of that show but in live action. But yeah the hate for the show is so overblown by those fandom menace channels. There stuck in this bubble of hate so to them it seems like everyone dislikes Disney Era Star Wars when in reality it's just people within this bubble and there is indeed people who love the sequels, Rebels, Bad Batch, Andor, Ahsoka etc. It's like the ending of Men in Black where it's revealed that our universe is inside a marble used by aliens for a table top game. Those fandom Menace channels are stuck instead this marble and think everyone hates Star Wars but beyond this marble we have millions of fans who love these shows and films. Same thing happened with the Prequals. Those original trilogy fans were the voice of the fandom and us Prequal fans were too young or overshadowed by OG fans so our voice was not heard. But we grew up and became the main voice of the fandom, Still alot of these fandom menace channels are old boomers who still prefer the originals and nothing else. Now Sequel fans are going through the same thing along with people who just enjoy shows like Ahsoka.

Baylan and Ahsoka fight felt like a perfect mix of precuel and OT. It had the dialogue and was grounded like the ot but was also fast and and exiting like the precuels

Okay but can we talk about the choreography fight in this episode? Ahsoka was very samurai like in her form against Marrok. Then fighting Baylon, he was fighting as if he was a knight with his lightsaber acting like a great sword. Two types of fighters, two different styles! Ah so good!

100% agree and if they didn't do this so many fans would've been lost. If they really wanted to get to the action right away they could've showcased a montage from Clone Wars and Rebels similar to the intro of Obi Wan that recapped Revenge of the Sith. There's some amazing Ahsoka fan edits out there so that level of quality would've worked really well and then boom into the action.

I viewed Sabine handing over the map not just as a way for her to find Ezra, but also as a fail safe to get on the inside. She knew if she resisted, Baylan and Shin would kill her and take the map anyway, only no one from the NR would be on the ship. Sabine needed to accept Baylan's offer so the good guys could be there to try and keep the enemy from finding Thrawn and bringing him back.

Yeah I’m totally digging Baylan and Shin as villains. They seem believable and like actual people. I’m drawn to them as characters and want to know more about them and their past & ambitions. I hope things keep going in this direction. Also Anakin and Ahsoka was a tear jerker. Can’t wait to see the next one. I hope we get to see a lot of them.

Couldn't not agree more. And Marrok being nothing is way better, even tho I was rooting for the Starkiller theory at the end I was fine with him being Magick(the Nightsister source of power, they can resurect people with it) because there was never a focus to his character.

I’m interested to see where the show goes from now. It’s just a shame that baylan skoll’s actor died and passed away. I do like baylan and the way he fights with a lightsaber. As well as his baylan carries himself in the show. It’s almost like a knight fighting with a sword with his fighting style. Seeing anakin in the show always brings back memories since I grew up with the prequel trilogy and I saw revenge of the Sith a month after my birthday in 2005 in may when I was eight years old since my birthday is in April. And anakin is my favorite character in Star Wars. So far, I’ve enjoyed mandalorian season 1 and 2, andor, and a bit of kenboi and the book of boba fett. marrok and his relation to the night sisters and their magic has me interested for many reasons. There are many unknown things about the character of marrok.

For the most part its mid with some highs (the villains, the music) but the characterization and performences of Ahsoka mainly but also sabine really bring the show down for me. They dont feel anything like there animated counterparts at all and are just so incredibly boring to watch. I cant even bring myself to watch episode 5 tomorrow cause the show just leaves me feeling so depressed

Head and shoulders better than the other episodes. BEST lightsaber *combat* in live action ever in my opinion. The reason I say that is Baylan and Ahsoka both pay attention to each other’s footing and general stance and then adjust accordingly. You know, like in **real** sword play??? EDITED: Baylan might be my favorite antivillain of all time, in any genre. SECOND EDIT: As to de-aged Anakin… it’s what I asked/wished for. I guess sometimes the SFX team hits the bullseye, and other times that arrow lands in the uncanny valley. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s embarrassing, and Sabine riding the speeder bike to the non Star Wars sounding straight punk rock music was one of the cringiest moments ever. This is the first Disney era Star Wars thing that I straight up cannot find value in. You do know that Star Wars is not only John Williams and Space Jazz.... Rebels featured 1980s inspired Space Rock called Zeb Rock, Knights of the Old Republic is filled with Neon Synth nightclub music and The Old Republic has a whole soundtrack of in universe music from all kinds of genres. Even different cultures in Star Wars have there own music. The music Sabine was listening to was perfect for her character and fit into the Star Wars universe with it's more 1980s sounding Punk Rock sound to it and near the end it even went into more Rock Star Wars theme sounding music. I'm starting to think that Star Wars fans are just blinded by the original trilogy and want the same thing over and over again. Then they introduce Punk Rock and go "OMG there's not like the Star Wars" when in reality Star Wars has always showcased a wide range of music genres.
