So cool seeing Lex Luger making content for FL Studio. Absolute legend.
I don't even make beats I'm just here because I grew up in the Luger era and know he's the GOAT. His songs and beats still hold up where many don't.
Lex is a legend. It’s so good to see him healthy and still producing fire
Lex luger was ahead of his time. He literally changed the sound of trap music

I will forever respect y’all he definitely pioneered y’all software for all of us urban producers and y’all showed shim loved
Lex luger the legend. He's such a chill guy I really enjoyed this video. I've heard his beats for years on hit songs , never thought he was actually a really chill person to.
glad this man is still alive and well.
He went back to his classic sound for this video. Lately he’s been evolving his sound and still getting placements
The only problem is that his sound hasn't grown much over the years but, the early 2010s wouldn't of been nothing without his production. BMF BY RICK ROSS, HARD IN THE PAINT, H.A.M BY JAYZ AND YE, HUSTLE HARD BY ACE HOOD, THAT WAY BY WALE. THOOSE SONGS ARE LEGENDARY.

Big fan of the FLKey content. Would love to see more hands on videos with this MIDI!
Just got the Producer Edition today for my Birthday!!!!!! It's about to go down! And I'm glad to see that you guys have a MIDI Keyboard now!
Love to see Southside and Lex together. Missed those day when them two were my inspiration
God bless this man, he has been a huge inspiration in my music journey
Thank you fl studio team 👑🎙️
Lex is showcasing the power of a good Father figure without even realizing it. That's badass that his Dad supported him like that!
Nice tutorial I'm glad I come across this I'm new to this beat making and now going to get me a set up , thanks for the inspiration and the beat was🎯💯🔥🔥🔥⛽
FLKey is a godsend. I was hyped when I got mine. It felt like I put my hand through the screen & touch the channel rack. I’ve been using FL for almost three years & it feels good to FINALLY have a MIDI keyboard with FL in mind. It’ll be so dope when Novation makes a 49 key version, 69 key version & 88 key version!

Its cool seeing image line make a video with a legend. Would be cool to see them do a video with other producers like Southside
Honestly this shit sounds so elementary, I used to sometimes lack confidence in my shit but after hearing some these Artist put they shit together I know I have some dope shit and I will kill when they let me in the door
He’s the reason i use fl studio to this day

Lex Luger was a favorite producer of mine the brother talented he need to use them Gifts for God keep the light on this world shining though
Ive never heard Lex Luger sound so articulate. Get that bag bro
Extremely inspirational !!! This should be one of the basic lessons in every musician's life ... and I mean it.
I’m the same way. Melody is ALWAYS first. 💯🎹
One of the originators of the new trap sound. Since early 2010s 🐐
The one at the end🔥
LETSSS GOO LEX … Dropping Gems 💎 S/O From the UK 🇬🇧
I still listen to "BMF" and "Loaded" to this day. I think he might have even made a beat using that old Blake Reay "Nowhere Near" track somewhere on the web.
Wise words in the closing
Okay I see you! Love image-line
Great video Lex. I just got the fl key 25 back in august its great. Oh by the way thats a cold beat too firrrrree.
Lex is truly a legend, and that's it.
Lex Luger is a legend
Yep im buying this
Whenever producers claim that they are the best producer of a particular genre I cringe and roll my eyes, but I will have to agree with Lex Luger, this man pretty much made the trap sound as Iconic as it is today. his sound revolutionized the sound. Lex Luger is a true legend and shout out to him.
Lex makes it look so easy 🔥 need to get this
Can't wait for FL Studio 21
straight banger fr 🔥
I've been using FL since 2005. After watching Lex Luger...I could relate to a lot of what he was saying. It kind of makes me think I shouldn't have given up on making beats.

Some Great points!....Dnt throw beats away...somebody might like that!...had it happen to me a couple of times..I still give a lil head turn...& say"Cool"!
I'm in my 50's I've been a FL fan since 97 and Lex Luger fan since 2012 when I felt I needed to get away from Boom-Bap to Trap Loyaltie and were two first to give free sample packs and preset plugins they also were the first to do Trap Tutorial back when FL only had the UK tutorial on how to use Fruity Loops back when MTV Generator was the first DAW on the PlayStation
Dopeness!
Inspiration for a lot of us
Dope dude there!
Love this so so much 🥇🥇🥇🥇
My man is making money now with image
love fl key
Role model😍, had to edit like my grandma played my beat for her jazz club friends they loved in fact they loved it they told her she should me an organ or piano so I can relate to big bro
they brought the legend on!!
The Goat graced us with his presence
Hard work ❤
I was a little older than a friend of mine, just by a couple years, but to him Lex was the GOAT. I would always say Zaytoven and wouldn’t really give Alex much credit for what he was doing. One thing I gotta say is he really normalized the chopping of notes for snares and hi hats. It’s very normal now, wasn’t then. Shout out to Lex, I can say now he’s one of the Trap GOATs.
I needed one of these...... was looking for something to work a little better with fl studio than the akai mkII mini
Thank you FL
wow..awesome
Changed the game
I'm probably Trap music's biggest vocal opponent, but I enjoyed this video. Thanks Image-Line. Much respect to Lex as well, even though I don't like the Genre.
Man Lex I was hoping you’d come with your signature horns. Hard in Da Paint is the best beat I’ve ever heard to this day.
Inspiration for me
Oh... I thought he was previewing the FL Keys vst 😂
Best producer of all time in my book
Nice. I need some more sounds. I wonder what vst he's using.
Hard in the paint at the time was revolutionary because nobody was doing their percussions like lex. Nobody was doing the octave change at the time either lol. Crazy that I started making beats at 15 and this dude only a year older than me.
@qtippz

What??? Lex got his sound from Shawty Redd and D. Rich. They did the exact same things years before him. Even Lex will tell you that. This is no hate to Lex.
@2KCustomerService
Жыл бұрын
@@qtippz Im not disagreeing with that at all. Shawty redd and d rich are the ogs of the genre. Every producer/beat maker has their influences but that octave change was signature to lex. Maybe my memory is bad but lex popularized those types of hi hat patterns.
@qtippz
Жыл бұрын
@@2KCustomerService octave change? You mean the pitch shift that usually happened? That didn't originate from Lex at all. Shawty redd started that on Jeezy's "J.E.E.Z.Y" song and then D. Rich used that as a signature for his beats. Go listen to "Don Doda" by Rich boy or "News Paper On the Floor" by Yo Gotti. Also Shawty Redd popularized the hihat rolls as well. All of these trap producers got their style from Redd and D. Rich.
@2KCustomerService
Жыл бұрын
@@qtippz all true. Can’t argue with anything you said but you still got to give him credit for at least popularizing it.
@kid5042
Жыл бұрын
@@qtippz Lex style was different from Shawty Redd’s and D Rich , Shawty Redd styles were more or orchestral and up tone. Lex beats were dark used different high levels of percussion and was Dark. Lex drums were more 36 Mafia based. But both Lex and Shawty Redds style come from 36 mafia / Memphis influence
dope.. felt like 2010 again when I heard 5:40 🐐

Y’all don’t understand it’s so good to see him clean now. He used to be big on the drugs and it definitely derailed his career for a lil bit
