A perfect movie for a Freakish Carnival ride themed movie marathon right up there with Freaked, Highway to Hell, and Bad Channels. This movie has the vibe of a Tales From The Crypt episode and I am 100% sure the episode with Tim Curry was inspired by it.

I'm glad the internet has paid some attention to this movie. I swear everyone forgot it existed for 25 years and would look at me like a psycho when I mentioned it. "Yeah; you remember! Dan Akroyd wears a dick nose and kills people with a roller coaster and John Candy played a woman!" *blank concerned stares all around*

This guy gets it--100%! We have all been that poor sap who's trying to explain to someone that Aykroyd once played a psychotic, 106-year-old podunk judge with a murder coaster and a c*ck nose. You're not crazy, @jefforsburnjeffe4380. Well, not because of that, anyway.

I agree this movie SO UNDERRATED !....This movie was NEVER supposed to be Oscar material It was FUN it was CAMPY the A holes that slam this movie are not very bright !

It is pretty awesome, but in terms of revenue and critical reception, 'disaster' is a fair assessment.

@@BankruptBarry oh, totally I can’t disagree with that. When I’m most interested in, would be to see Dan Acker’s original vision for the film because what we got apparently ain’t it. There was a lot of stuff left on the cutting room floor because the studio was not thrilled. Apparently it was going to be even darker.

You're right, @Potbelly76--Shakes is better than most people give it credit for. We're actually big Bobcat fans over here. But our main point was that those movies (much like Nothing But Trouble) didn't quite hit it big at the box office. Anyway, we probably should have picked a different one to make that point.

Back in the early days of KZread i was researching Tupac and came across the Digital Underground video for this movie and was like WTF was i watching and turned it off because the make up on Dan ackroyds make up creeped me out.
