@@jaheim_the_omnipotent4875 I agree. Keeping kids repressed and telling them that they have to be, or *should be* straight can be super confusing and upsetting for kids. It’s important to teach young people that being gay, straight, bi, ace, etc. is all equally normal. Kids being raised to think being straight is the default, or only option, often end up sexually confused and/or repressed.

Which is extremely common, both among parents and society in general. Also, even though I didn’t use the word “forced” there are actually very many parents who attempt to force their kid to be straight. Ever heard of conversion therapy?? Doesn’t work, but it’s when people (forcefully) try to turn a gay person straight, usually via violent methods. Also, if we want to bring gender identity into the mix, there are thousands of trans people who have been forced by their families into an identity they don’t accept. So yes, people do try to force people to be straight. Although, that’s not even the point I was making, I’m saying we should stop acting as if straight is the default.

As a child my Grandma used to force me to wear those. She was extremely rude, but the shoes were too big and I just kept tripping, I tripped multiple times and she would just let me lay there and scream at me. But crocks are not good for a childs foot. But the thing is, I actually fractured my skull and now have a re-grown bone in my forehead, that is sticking outward a little. I got memory loss, and im extremely un-coördaneted. I fall ofer quickly too. So dont let the kids wear crocks, its dangerous.

People will say “it’s bad to force lgbtq stuff on children” and then try and force their children to be straight 🤦‍♀️ Edit: I would just like to say, I am a teenage bisexual. Edit 2: I don’t think any child should be sexualized, I just think it’s important that they learn that being lgbtq+ is a thing and that’s ok, and so is being straight! This way they know what they are feeling, no matter what they are, is valid. And if your religion doesn’t believe that being lgbtq+ is okay- I respect that, so long as you don’t make children (and adults) hate themselves because of your beliefs. I grew up with several straight and lgbtq relationships around me, so I’m happy and confident in my sexuality, and have been since I discovered it. That’s all we want. To feel safe in the world no matter who we love. Thank you for reading that whole paragraph 😅

@@POH341The kid is wearing a shirt and skirt, who cares? Then they have a flag on their back. Again, if you’ve ever watched a Disney show which are designed for kids under the age of 10, you’d know it almost always shows a love story and typically a kissing scene. Is that too “sexual” for kids in your eyes or is it difference because one is a straight relationship and the other isn’t. If a kid is responsible band the parent watches them fine then a 10 year old could defiantly go to pride. Most of the time at pride it’s a bunch of people in their upper teens or lower twenties that go with friends and just celebrate all day. If you truly supervise your kid then it shouldn’t be an issue

@@lkoniks the difference between Disney and forcing a kid to wear lustful symbols is that Disney doesn’t base they’re movie around the kissing seen, I hate Disney, they suck, they show kids politics and it’s stupid, no kid should care about politics. But a kid also shouldn’t be forced to wear clothing that they do not really know about. Name one kid who can explain gender, name one kid who can explain chromosomes. Sure, 16, 15 17 year olds can, but a 10 year old?

@@POH341 I’m guessing most 10 year olds know about sex because they’ve likely started puberty by the age of 10 and have gotten the talk. I believe I was in 5th grade and I was 10 or 11 when my school was required to give it to us. In science that year we learned about chromosomes, puberty, and reproduction and how it results with natural selection. Everything tied together and I certainly didn’t understand everything, I had a good idea of everything by then. Also a flag where each color represents a different thing, such as the color red representing life, isn’t lustful. An image and design isn’t immediately sexual, it’s what that person chooses to do or think of when they see that flag. If you ask almost any lgbtq member they will not think of sex or sexual things when they see the flag, they’ll probably think of love and representation for people like them

this is really funny, but i wanna do a quick rant As a child, it can be incredibly hard to support the lgbtq+ community since in some cases your peers will shame you for it. In my class, I'm one of the few that actually supports the lgbtq+ community and is a part of it, and my classmates regularly shame me for being supportive. Even though I try to not let it bother me, it hurts that people will bully others for just expressing themselves, and their sexuality.

Guys lets just be real in some point of our lives this thought pops in our head that urgh i should be a boy or why im a girl specially when you're going through puberty but when you grew up you become immune to it i thought that too and I'm happy to be born as a girl parents literally are letting their kids whose brain are not even fully developed yet decide wether to change their gender or not and parents get scared that if they refuse their kid is gonna commit suicide but no one talk bout the ppl who suicide just bcz they changed their gender they took puberty blockers (which mind youu no doctor will tell you that once you start taking puberty blockers their is no turning back you can't reproduce you'll never gonna feel aroused ) and they get depressed that why their parents agreed to them and they suicide!!
