I fell in love for a single mother and became very close with her daughter. The night she broke up with me and ended our relationship I was walking out to leave and I got halfway to the car and her daughter yelled for me to wait. She came running to me and gave me a big hug and told me that she loved me. I gave her a hug and a kiss and looked up and her mom was looking at me from the balcony. I told her goodbye and that’s the last time I ever saw her. That shit about ripped my heart out of my chest. I don’t ever want to experience that shit again.

He could not cope and went into the VA hospital for treatment. I let him go because his flashbacks could leave us injured or even dead.... and I could not risk that. I have not had a serious relationship since, and my daughter has not known another man in the house. She turns 18 in June. I will not date again till she is old enough to take care of herself. The problem is many men have pressure from their family to continue his bloodline, and many average men can not get a woman of average quality. The only option they have is a single mom in order to have kids, or else its single theor whole life. One time the mom was not a very good mom to her son, second time the mom talked about her baby daddy all the time and this last time my ex wanted to work things out with me because her baby daddy didnt want anything to do with her unborn kid. Before I said yes, i presented her with a question. I asked what would you do if the baby daddy suddenly wants to try to be apart of his kids life and work things out with you so that you guys could have a family together. I've dated single moms and even married one. The simple truth is that the relationships weren't worth it except the marriage because I got to stay in my little girl's life after we divorced, and I don't pay anything. I guarantee most single moms would never marry if an unbreakable contract that guaranteed no alimony and no child support for stepkids was enforced 100% of the time. Also, women cap about their kids not needing a stepdad or whatever. Watch what happens if you don't get the kids a birthday present or take them to the game/movie/show/whatever. They always get mad, but they lie and say you don't have to take care of their kids. I ask if a woman has kids now, and I walk away when she says yes after that conversation.

Since when it's my responsibility to take care of another man's offspring? We are not talking here about women being widowed because their husbands lost their lives in a war. We are talking about women who didn't know how to keep their legs closed before marriage, or who were not able to honor their marriage vows (2 out of 3 divorces are initiated by the wife). Becoming a husband of a single mother equals to rewarding bad choices and behaviors. If you reward bad choices and behaviors in a society, be prepared to see them proliferating, and eventually your society being destroyed from within.

@KingJancelot yeah that worked on our simp uncles and parents generation. Not working us millennials or zinneals.

My main Gripe is this, in a MARRIAGE your spouse always comes first that’s by Biblical and Legal standards. Having an outside child makes that more difficult because I come into the picture either I’m going to take the Back Burner or the child will have to take the Back burner I don’t want either of us to be in that position. Also something can happen to the mom and then what I’m stuck to a child that’s not mines. It’s different when the kid is yours because that’s Your assigned responsibility whether you like it or not. The best analogy I can think of is Getting Drafted to the Military Vs Volunteering to go. IYKYK

Non sense that's not biblical at all the creator comes first then your children then wife! Men are not suppose to worship the women!!!

I’ll never be in a relationship with a single mother again as long as I live.

I have experienced this as a step mom. The child was 18 year old male with the usual partying, etc. Also told I was not his mom, therefore had no say in the rules of the house. His dad and I supported and encourage him thru college and was shown no appreciation , as children that age usually do not. I would not do this again unless the children were grow, responsible adults and independent.

Remember Gentlemen, look at the kids face. Its a reminder of the dude before you who had her at her best. A woman with a kid ruins the entire thing for you, its the experience that she will rob you. If you find yourself with a woman who doesn't have kids. She gets pregnant and both of you go on this journey of the pregnancy, birth and you are there to cut YOUR child chord. As a team. When you get with a single mother, it won't be new experience since she already been there with some other dude.
