Cook sailing through the East Coast of Oz and especially the Great Barrier Reef, obviously with zero charts, is an amazing feat. He truly is up there the worlds greatest navigators. I often think of men like Cook and Drake, especially Drake and the places he sailed to and the shenanigans he got up too, what a character, it must've been an amazing life. I love the story of the Spanish ambassador in England demanding Queen Elizabeth hang Drake for piracy. Then while the ambassador was still in England, Drake rolled into port after being away for years ransacking Spanish treasure ships. So Queen Elizabeth took the ambassador to Drakes ship, where she made the ambassador be a witness to her Knighting Drake on the deck of his ship. Monarchs were made of something very different back then

My first sailing adventures were on dads' NS14, scooting around Lake Mac. Then onto a Sonata 26 sailing out of the Sunshine club. Since then, nothing, now I'd like to get into it again but in a different way, a live aboard catamaran. And sail around the coast of Australia with the missus, who has never put foot on a boat before. May happen, may not.

Hello Paul, since we are not sailing today, I thought I would send along a meal suggestion. I too am vegetarian, but I do eat fish and shellfish. A quick, delicious and satisfying meal is cheesy grits with garlic shrimp. I use parmesan cheese mixed into the grits and a light seasoning of garlic. I also do not use added salt, but the shrimp add plenty of seasoning, even if you don't like garlic. Many thanks for your wonderful videos.

I've sailed on Endeavour, 60 knot wind, 6 mtr seas and she was so solid. Rolled like a cork but sturdy as.. Here's a short video out of the stern windows. I was in Banks' cabin kzread.info/dash/bejne/hW14rM6OhqzXdLQ.html
