Once you really get into this game you realize how fantastic it is. I'm not a Rush fan but I'm enjoying the music more the more I play the game.

I am a massive Rush fan and was super shocked when this was announced. Bought a premium and loved it, but I was scared to play it much because of Sterns shit node 10 board issues. Just ordered a Pro to replace it with and should have it this week. The Lermods clock really makes the pro significantly better. I also have the expression lights to install. Great band, fantastic pin

Stern should invest in a manga or anime themed pinball table. imagine a dragon ball, naruto or hokuto no ken inspired pinball table

I'm not going to play anymore because I don't want you to suffer watching this LMAO Classic line Gonz! My buddy has a Rush Premium and I don't recall it draining after exiting the pops, so maybe you just need to do some adjustments on it. I have a Mando premium and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the theme, but I just hate the clunky shots. While watching this video, I couldn't help but wonder how much I would love Mando if it had the Rush Playfield shots instead. I can picture hitting that Time machine in the center, with it being replaced by the Razorcrest ship. You hit the small ramp and the magnet underneath the ship would hold it for the missions or release it as you gather the shots to do the Razorcrest jackpot shots. Just dreaming I guess. Cheers for the insight Andy mate. Yeah, there are loads. ACDC, Metallica, Maiden, Rush, Gunns & Roses, Led Zep, Aerosmith. Metallica is the best actual game in my opinion but G&R the best music 😉

No clue about Rush either, but I'd have a blast on that, those ramp shots look very satisfying. Shame about that orbit, it's almost like if they moved one of the pops a few mm it would catch it and change the run.

Great layout and shots, but that orbit is a killer.

I do find most pinball rule sets to be a hot mess but Rush is not all that complicated to get started on. Collect a couple records to qualify a mode. The red LED on the time machine lights up - then start the mode at the time machine. Pretty straightforward way to approach the game. The combo mechanic is a little different... inserts tell you which shots are next in the combo and cash out the combo at the time machine. You know when you've completed a combo with the orange LED on the time machine. Unlike other games, there is no time limit to complete a combo.

Nice video, I took no offence to it at Pinfest, and 100mil seemed like a fair target, 3 flippers, fast game. Nice shooting off the top flipper. I preferred playing it to GnR despite GnR being so pretty! Felt familiar being a stern.

I've only had the ball drain down the middle a hand full of times and I have 115 games on it now. Super fun game with really good call outs. Not a rush fan, but becoming one...

Been playing the table numerous times at a local arcade. Off the bumpers and straight down the drain. I don't launch full force, just enough for the ball to roll back and exit through the side gate. It gets the ball into the field much more safely.

Remember these games were designed to take your money, especially the outlanes. When you buy it for yourself home, they already got your money, now it’s time to play!!!

The time machine I think is to do with a Tour in 2011 OH ♥️ the shorts Gonzo 🤣🤣🤣🤣, I always thought that pinball was just a hit the ball and score points kinda game, I never realised that they had stories and stuff

I'm sorry you have had a bad experience with that left orbit. All you have to do is take the plastic off that is above the upper left pop bumper and you will see a screwhead. loosen that and adjust that metal lane guide more left towards the pop bumpers.. That will fix your problem. Mine hits the pops every time. I have played many rush machines and have not encountered a straight down the middle from that shot. It's not a leveling issue. After that give the game a second chance it really is fun.

Mine almost never goes SDTM on the orbit shot. Perhaps from a full plunge but why would you ever do a full plunge on this game? BTW, Rush is not an obscure band. Although not as popular GnR, Rush is all over pop culture with references to Rush appearing in movies, television shows, cartoons, novels and video games - literally hundreds of references to the band.

I made it to the end... I did really, really well. lolz. I'm not a pinball aficionado but I do like to play them from time to time. Until your videos, I'd never seen one played without the glass. I've assumed that you are removing the glass to capture better video... but do you typically play your machines without the glass? Any particularly reason why? I'd be concerned about dust, etc. Thanks Gonzo

The right orbit shot to the pops is definitely a risky one and should really only be made when the reward is great enough to overtake the risk. That being said, I've never played a Rush that feeds like this one. With all the machines I've played they always feed directly into the pops and comes out fairly randomly. I think your ball guide needs to be adjusted. I also think this is one of the least intuitive games out there in terms of rules. There is some good stuff there, but you really have to spend an hour or so reading a rule sheet to understand it.

Wow, such a great review. I just bought a rush pro earlier this week, and I Agree with all your commentary, positive and negative. I do think once I understand the theme and can really dial in the depth, it’ll be great, and it’s already good... but even as someone who does k ow the rush songs... the theme unity is still nonsense.

Thanks for the post mate. On reflection I much prefer Rush to Iron Maiden. The choice of shots is amazing and I'd like to revisit it one day. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

Play the extra features that mess with the flippers, its actually very fun!!! Game is Phenomenal, but yes its hard to understand, Avengers is the worst for understanding what to do

Game isn’t set up correctly, i wish you could come to my house , its all about how the game is set up!!! Stock flipper coils are the first thing to go into the trash. I install the following into every new Stern 1) LOTR-Flipper Coils from pinball life 2) Shaker motor on max setting 3) Side art 4) close the side outlanes using a rubber ring, this will add another ball bounce back/forth and help for longer ball times 5) Add a center post, you wouldn’t believe how much better it makes the game 6) Pinwoofer sound system, crank it up!!! 7) Invisi Glass 8) Back legs at max height, front legs max low, level the game 9) Play in a pitch black roo m alone. Do all this and then tell me Rush is boring, Godzilla this way is absolutely incredible!!! And always play at night!!!

You collect all planets in the Solar Federation from thier "2112" album. Simple.

Yeah, that's sort of what I mean. That sound like the rule-set for Star Trek. Very confusing when approaching a rock band game to find a Sci-Fi inspired set of rules.

If you know the band all of you understand all of the questions you had about the time machine etc. The back glass is made up from album covers. I rarely get SDTM on mine, 🤔 Maybe once every 3-4 games.

I guess that's just luck of the draw how they come out of the factory. Aerosmith does the same thing but not as regularly.

If you are doing a review on a product, you should do some research on it before hand. All of your questions about the different themes in the game would have been answered with a few minutes of research on the band before hand. I have a premium, it is heads above the pro version.

I think you miss the point. The rules are not intuitive, having to research the band is precisely what I don't want to do. I don't have to research Godzilla to play it..... it's obvious. I don't have to research aliens and flying saucers before playing Attack from Mars. Therefore I'll stick by what I said ..... The machine will appeal to those who like the band.

Install a center post!!!! F the next guy, if he doesn’t like it, it can be removed and the 1/4” hole filled
