Hi Tom, long time viewer, first-time commenter! I lived in connecticut for the first 40 years of my life, then made the unfortunate decision to move to florida 5 years ago. Want to move back to CT asap, lol. Your videos bring me home. I lived for about 6 months in Norwich when i was a very young kid. I wish you would expand your area, i lived in Salem for about 2 years, and that would be cool to see again! But, i mostly lived in Old Saybrook my whole life. I'd love to see it again! And i know you would do a great job of making my dream come true! 4k Old Saybrook drive! Thank you very much for all you do! And please don't stop anytime soon!

Hi Tom, I just watched the video a few minutes ago. I left New London in 1975. I loved seeing New London Lighthouse. That little beach you passed on Pequot Ave. was Butlers Beach when I left. NL has changed so much. I would absolutely get lost if I came back for a visit. When I was 3 we lived on Pequot Ave. the apartment building is gone now! I remember hanging out at Mayberrys. I can’t remember the spelling anymore. Too many years ago. Thank you for the views.

When I lived in New London back in the early 80s when i was a kid my family met some friends that worked for Amtrak and I would take trains to Boston etc.. we went to Texas one year and had a stop over in Chicago where I met Maureen Stapleton (her sister Jean played on all in the family) and we sat in the train car playing poker with her while she got soused on miniatures. Maureen didnt like flying so she traveled by train....When we moved to New London when my dad joined the Navy it was a BIG eye opener for me at 10 years old. That place actually had a major impact on my life..I just now realized..

Tom you would make a great radio personality, especially for WICH. Have you ever met Stu Bryer or Johnny London?. Your knowledge of Norwich and the surrounding towns like New London and Groton, would be most beneficial. When Stu one day retires after over 50+ years of broadcasting, the long time WICH listeners would welcome you. If you have never called up Stu on his 10AM to 2PM show you should call and just say hello to him. After many years, I finally visited the WICH station, and met Stu himselvis last year☺. @@TomKaszuba Tom, I am so happy you finally made it down to Ocean Beach on that beautiful sky day. You went by my recent 2023 employer General Dynamics/Electric Boat offices off of Pequot Avenue. I never visited Fort Trumbull and your video has convinced me to finally check it out. Tom one question for you, did you once work at the Otis Library in Norwich. If you did, do you know how long has the Geneology Dept.. been doing services there, like the microfish viewing room for past Norwich Bulletin newspaper articles. Keep making these wonderfully narrated drive along videos for us. They bring back so many excellent memories and stay cool and safe my friend☺Sincerely, Bill M., Uncasville, CT☺
