That's not a polka. It is what we in Norway call reinlender. In Sweden mostly called shottis.

There is absolutely nothing Norwegian about those costumes. They are Bavarian or Tyrolean. I'm very surprised Myron Floren went along with this being a Norwegian-American.

....and the song is "Johann Pa Snippen"...oh well, they sound and look great despite the inaccuracies.

I don't think there was a very big budget for costumes. Lots of thrifty improvisng was done. Myrons stylized shirt looks like an off the rack polo shirt with trim sewn on the arm bands and collar. I loved the show, and the musicians and talent were impeccable.
