Hoa’s serve little purpose in a community that isn’t gated and even then they delay fixing common issues. One thing that one of the men mentioned regarding renters and crime is a real thing. In my Craig ranch community we have homes specifically for renters which we were never told about. IMO renters don’t care as much about their community and homes like home owners do unfortunately.

Centennial Hills is NOT a good area and never was. Mostly starter homes, a few move up homes and more apartments, car washes and storage places. You can tell the wealth of a local community by the retail in the area. Walmart, Sam's and Home Depot as the major anchors says that Centennial Hills is a dump. Lone Mountain to the south in the Rural Preservation area is nicer due to its higher home prices and lower density is much better but not great. Used to live in that but got out before they started widening the roads. Now, I live south of Sahara and west of the beltway. Could not be nicer, strong HOA and bratty kids thankfully are kept busy with soccer practice or something.

@@MichaelInTheDesert Graffiti tours in our big cities have become very popular, they're tourist attractions. With the $30 million they spend on removing graffiti, they should allocate $10 million to do graffiti murals around the city with all those endless walls. I lived in Sinless City for 22 years and I do realize how very conservative and Mormon influenced Sinless city is. And with conservative Californians moving in, it will only make it even more conservative. A Hello from someone living in the Blue Island of the SW, Tucson.

This is a very bad area due mainly to so, so many apartment complexes, transient residents with little or no roots in the community, military personnel and their kids etc. The whole NW part of town has been in slow decline since the Great Recession of 2008. Yes, they are building more and more up there but demographics are all wrong. The Smith's shopping center opened October 15th 2005 and was fairly nice when all that opened. Would not be caught dead in that shopping center now. When you jam hundreds of apartments in one area, this is the result. Seeing what is happening on the SW side of town will be another problem in the coming years especially with the even larger number of apartment complexes.
