Why would driving past a business help them? Businesses should be in destinations that people want to go to. A road with noisy car traffic isn't a good destination.

@@iamgriff Nobody voluntarily spends time on the side of a highway. That's an observation, not an opinion. Many main streets were replaced with highways in the 20th century. This was a huge mistake because it directed all the customers away from the main street and to the big box stores at the edge of town.
How dare people want a walkable city.
Great idea to lose road traffic and $$$.

Walkable streets and pedestrian focused areas increase density, which increases land values and taxes which support the community as a whole. Quit acting ignorant, this formula is pretty old

Streets shouldn’t be made for traffic, highways should. Towns and their streets should be made for people. If you have trouble seeing that then you must stay pretty deep in your shell

Kids used to play in the streets for literally hundreds of years. If you didn't play in the street as a kid I feel sorry for you. It means your public space was stolen from you.
Northville sucks. Just like Plymouth.
