Just back from the same area. Based ourselves in Newcastle. What a fabulous couple of days in brilliant weather. The North Pennines were literally awesome. A local advised is to ride the Hartside Pass. It was unbelievable! Even had photographers shooting photos of bikers on the hairpin bends. Genuine, friendly and helpful locals throughout entire trip. Very memorable. Will definately return! Now resting my aches and pains!

Nice. Know a lot of those roads very well and out on them often (especially Alston, Allendale and Corbridge area), shame you didn't have nicer weather. My first holiday (which were a rare thing back then) was in Craster 1966, we stayed very near the kipper place.

My body would be displaying a triangle sign also with enduring Biblical winds and rains. Wonderful videos. 👍👍5🏍🙋‍♂️

Another great episode, keeping it real. Love it. It's such a shame we didn't meet up when we were over in Ireland on the bike. Never say never. Looking forward to the final episode. Cheers!

Sorry Dave , just been out this morning on the wing around Northumberlan and it’s bright sunshine today, loads of bikes in groups looking like there doing the N250 😂

Bit of WD40 in the ignition barrel would have sorted it😉. Lovely weather in Northumberland today😎. We are blessed living here….when the sun shines, great biking roads in all directions, I’m 15 minutes from Corbridge, lovely place if rather pricey.

@@WheelieGoodTV I had mine replaced on my 1200, after I dropped it on the drive, they were a bit fragile apparently, given the weather I’m not surprised you had issues, your lucky you don’t ride my Ducati🤣. They’re reliable since VW improved production standards.

The first time I saw a warning triangle from my current bike was today, just before I watched this video. In my case it was a charging error.

That front bike screen is really annoying, I have to say, as you cant see the road ahead. However I love the craic with you 2 and the mishaps and weather added a bit of drama.

Dave, I'd panick a bit with the engine warning lights on. Fair play for carrying on with the tour.

Nice ride Dave; I could feel your ‘bike anxiety’ several times! What was the cause of the problems? Surely a BMW GS should cope with a bit of rain, however “biblical”? I bet your VFR wouldn’t have let you down….my 2002 V-Tech has NEVER had any ‘rain issues’ in the 20+ years I’ve owned it. Looking forward to the next episode…🤞

I actually considered doing it on the VFR Neil. It turned out I needed a new throttle quadrant for the GS but it got me home so I didn’t mind. 🙏🤗

What are using for 2-way comms? Your day 2 footage looks much like weather that Hawaii's been enduring since last Sat.p.m.(5/11)...Flood warnings/watches alternating, at least, 2x/day. As of this writing, rains have stopped 5-6hrs....Stay Safe, Ride Safer, D & T...Keep the Rubber on the Road...Aloha from Hawaii
