Спорт
In this video we run the first check of the season, just 2 days after setting up. We also make a bunch of new marten sets.

Hoping to get up there soon
My niece an her husband and kids live in Wesley Maine
Good stuff ! I had a beaver watch me make a castor mound set one day . I got back from the set about 10 feet in the bushes and watched him get caught . Set for a front foot in shallow water . He swam up , his chest bumped the bank and he never put his front feet down and walked like a duck to the mound ! Back footed him on his return ! Set for left front , caught in a right rear !😆

@@trappingtoday I was actually about a minute early for this video. Can’t wait for the next one
I hope you understand that I meant traps not drops but I suppose it could mean the same. God bless ✌️🇨🇦
Hi. Big fan of your channel. I see you are marking your trap locations on your phone. May I ask which app you are using?

Hey thanks. I use the onx hunt app from onxmaps. Excellent resource at a reasonable price. You can also get a 20% discount by using the code 'trap' at checkout on their website.
I’m not a trapper but I do watch all your videos, I was wondering why you put your drops so far apart? stay safe and God bless ✌️🇨🇦

Thanks Doug! I space traps to cover a large geographic area based on animal densities. If too close together multiple traps are targeting the same animal. Too far apart is less efficient, so there's a balance.

@@trappingtoday I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. But I understand now. Take care and God bless.
Nice to have a buddy along on the trapline. I've never had the opportunity to set for any of the aforementioned furbearers in your area but have caught a ton of mink Do you find that Marten and Fisher move well on blustery nights ?? I can practically guarentee that the mink will be running well on a windy night. Good luck to you and your son on the trapline this year

Thanks Brent! I haven't noticed a pattern with the wind...will have to keep that in mind though!
