Northampton Society of Model Engineers Before the big changes
Please excuse the picture quality as this film was copied from a VHS tape.
The video shows the Northampton S of M.E club site before the extension changes (you can see on the ride some of the work being carried out).
We ride both raised and ground level tracks as a record of the old layout,
The work has now been completed,the hard work that has been put in is a credit to the Society.
We have rode/drove on the new layout.

I'm very pleased with the way they have turned out Bob...We have just got back from a four night fishing/caravan break..If we have missed any videos we will watch later....Ah! that's good you have all met up at last,hope you had a good day? .....Best wishes Chris
Its great that we record all these places for the present and for the past as some are no longer there as you pointed out on your other videos thankfully this one is still alive , its just like all the people that recorded films and photos from the steam age what would we do without them ! , Great footage Chris they have got some land there !

You never think at at the time of filming that one day your film/video could be archive footage..Like all of the videos we have included in our"Gone but not forgotten" series.At the time we were only enjoying the ride..Let's hope were not adding a lot more tracks to this list after Covid....Glad to see your back running at the club Graham!....Best wishes Chris

Not to bad a Kay..Like you, we have rode the new track,but why didn't I film it?? I must have some footage somewhere as Martin drove Hurricane, I remember it well,we also took the Hunslet another time....Regards Chris
