A look around the Northampton & Lamport Railway

In early 2023 I managed to get a quick look around the Northampton and Lamport railways signalling upon a non operating day, save to say we will return to view the individual boxes in seperate videos, however the railway operates a vast array of signalling in such a short operation, with full slotting between three seperate signalboxes and Broughton,Pitsford sidings and Pitsford and Brampton , the latter being the railways main manned Signalbox normally in operation.
The railway does also have other cabins on site not used and stored for future use which in early 2023 were in the process of being restored and repainted including the railways booking office using the base of the former Lamport Signalbox which the railway uses as a shop and ticket office and I managed to see some of the work the railway were undertaking on restoring this building.
It’s a short video and unfortunately I didn’t get to visit Pitsford sidings but we shall return 👍

Most annoying part of what should have been a very good video to watch, was the speed of the text, not enough time to read one line, let alone multiple.

Unfortunately there’s little I can do about the text issue, hence I usually don’t include much, it’s fixed in the editor so I have no control over duration of it, all I can do is slow the clip down which doesn’t work for video or split the text over a lot of seperate clips which can be equally annoying, I know it has vexed me just as much so I try and avoid text where I can and just have interviewees do the speaking instead. I did consider putting some audio overlay on but that becomes an issue with background noise too sometimes, however duly noted, one day apple may sort out the issue 🫣

@@irseminorrailwayssection9491 Thank you for the detailed explanation, very much appreciated. That aside it was still a very good video showing all the complexities associated with the signaling and how well preserved it remains. Well done 👍
