Great video. I live on the other side so it's a bit difficult to get supplies at the moment. Oh well. They need to add one higher lane. One metre would do it, from The Richmond lights to the other side of Richmond bridge. They're too cheap to do that. The Chemist has had to re-supply by boat. This time the current is too fast.

Anyone know if the bridge is open yet? It hasn't rained today. I need to get my contact lenses ;) The info on the gov web-sites is useless.

I think the best thing would be a tunnel from Vinyard that has the option of the other side of Windsor bridge or North Richmond

@@zordmaker I still think If they built it correctly it could work. Just need to make sure the entrances aren't in flood zones

@@westyboi1845 All tunnels leak. Some more than others - and all need pumps to get rid of the endless flow of water. Given what they're doing in town with the Metro at the moment I guess you're right but somehow I just can't see a Govt parting with money just so we can go to Windsor when a flood is on..😉

@@zordmaker Yeah, it's definitely just a dream. It's starting to feel like it floods everytime it rains. Not much we can do but deal with it

This is the fourth time this weather has occurred since 2020. Hopefully the Hawkesbury Council can elevate the Windsor Bridge after this.

This is Richmond bridge. Windsor bridge has already been replaced however the roads that lead to it are lower than the bridge itself. Likewise the road that leads to Richmond bridge on the East side is low (and now flooded) so unless they build a new bridge all the way to Richmond itself, it'll still be flooded out.

@@zordmaker I forgot to take that into consideration. It's a combination of governmental and engineering stupidity that has led to this.

@@zordmaker Same thing happens on a much smaller scale in Bungendore. The approaches to the bridge are much lower than the bridge itself...luckily it's a much drier climate here and flooding doesn't occur that often.

Not going to do a thing cause it floods on one side. The bridge would still be closed even if it didn't go under. It might work with the North Richmond bridge

@@zordmaker There could easily be a short land bridge from the Richmond town-ship to the other side to North Richmond, past the polo fields. I know this area well. A metre or two would do it. It would also help with the peak-hour bottle neck.
