Of course!!
In 1985 I rented a 2 bedroom house with a front and huge back yard, two-car garage in La Mesa for $600. In '86 I got a gorgeous studio just a few blocks from the beach in Pacific Beach for $300. Looks like rents have gone up a little bit since then!

Omg 😂😂😂 yea just a tiny bit different now 😭
Can you make a video about La Mesa? The District and Seta are two Greystar properties there. Also, a video showcasing some apartments in Mission Valley (E.g. Alexan Gallerie, Perl, Griffis Mission Valley) / Mission Gorge (E.g. The Parker Townhomes, The Verge, Vora, and Gravity.)

I know they are building new stuff in North Park but most of NP is small houses from the turn of the last century with some mid century apartments thrown in.

Ya absolutely. Some really nice areas for sure!
Another thing I like to ask aside from if there is cement between the ceilings and floors, is how much (how many feet). Especially, when the complex isn’t technically a high rise. The last two buildings I’ve lived in had concrete in between. But, you could still hearing the tenants upstairs stomping, running, things slamming. :)

Ooo good call!
SD native here. I left NP a year ago to live by the beach but I lived in NP for 5 years. Someone mentioned on the comments already about BLVD is more University Heights. I agree. Their Probably branding it as NP because UH is more a sleepy side of town. If I recall there's really only LeStats coffee shop and a few bars so not really a happening area unless you venture to Normal Heights next door. That being said. If you wondering about living location in NP here is my opinion. Anything South from University Ave to South Park border & before 805 freeway is the better side of NP. El Cajon Blvd side is pretty trashy although it is slowly getting better. If you really want the prime area IMO. Anything on Upas street is awesome as I use to live on Upas St and Grim. Rule of thumb, stay away from anything on the East side of the 805 like City Heights. It may be couple $100 cheaper but it's a boring shit hole.
Hi! I’ve been watching your San Diego apartment tour videos and watching your journey- because we are moving there in July- they’ve been so helpful! Can I ask you why you’re leaving downtown and heading to North Park area instead? We are torn on which area to settle in and I like hearing from other people why they are leaving downtown if they’ve lived there since they have so many luxury apartment buildings. Thank you in advance!

I'm so glad they've helped! We are definitely not moving out of downtown for now, we love it here! I just wanted to explore the other neighborhoods and options, for fun and to help people that can't tour themselves! Downtown is definitely more of our vibe than North Park, since we are not huge beer/brewery people and more club ppl 😂. And like I mentioned in the video, our current apartment has the nicest views we've experienced so far, and we're huge on windows and views.
Fun
You guys are so cute ❤

Idk about cute 😂 but thank you💙
Do you know any areas that have the same luxury style apartments as downtown San Diego? As a single woman I’m not sure downtown is the best safest place for me, but I love the apartments down there.

Do you feel uncomfortable in North Park? If not, I think you should definitely look into Azul, the place I toured in this video! Gives the luxury for sure. If you're uncomfortable in North Park, I have yet to tour other places so stay tuned!! 👀
Thank you guys soooo much for putting these videos together! My husband and I are moving to San Diego next year, he is in the navy :) he is from LA but just don’t know enough about San Diego and may have to get an apartment without seeing it 😬 Have you looked at anything more out East like Rancho Bernardo? (I’m from Wisconsin, so shout out from the Midwesterner’s 🙌🏼)

Thanks so much for your support!! Haven't tried anything farther than downtown yet, but I will hopefully continue this series so maybe in a little while! Haha Midwestern buddies 🥳
BLVD isn't in North Park. It's in University Heights. West of Texas and North of Lincoln is University Heights.

Are you moving out of downtown because it's not safe?
@EshiJay

Not at all. As I stated in the video, I'm very much a downtown person!
alot of the 1BRs out here are cost effective for couples. as a single person it can get pricey. i am fortunate enough to qualify for VA subsidy, so am excited to look forward to my move in the next 6 months or so.

That's awesome, congrats! I mean, it's pricey even for a couple so I totally get it 😭
