UNC really played spoiler. i could imagine how happy the Tarheel coach was that his players sent coach k off with a loss...to their biggest rival

Although I'm from alabama..my older brother is from ashville North Carolina he unfortunately died a while back but loved the tar heels........glad they got the win tonight against their main rival...although I have a tremendous amount of respect for coach K. Excellent game brothers💯😤💪🏻

I was so glad to shut down the K parade. It’s was nice that coach Smith and Williams didn’t need all the fanfare. Probably the most fun win ever vs dook. Go Heels!

Dean Smith's last game at his namesake arena was a 91-85 win over Duke. Roy Williams' last game in the Dean E. Smith Center was a 91-73 win over Duke. Mike Krzyzewski’s last game in Cameron Indoor Stadium was a 94-81 loss to UNC. Something to think about.

Naismith coached Allen, Allen Coached Dean Smith, Smith coached Hubert Davis. Great Tar Heels originated in Kansas. I am a proud UNC grad and always pull for the Jayhawks.

As a Duke fan. I had a feeling we'd loose. How many times can you hear RJ Davis in a game and come away with the W... yeah not happening lol. That guy is a FORCE.

Being a dad for a UNC graduate, I was so happy for the win. My son told me many times, how excited he was when he was a sophomore at UNC and they won the ncaa championship in 2017.

So glad my Heels played their best game of the season on this night. Nothing could be finer!!!

Absolutely enjoyed this game! Of all the UNC/Duke games I have watched in my 65 years this is definitely one of the most satisfying.

What a win by UNC. Much needed. This win should carry them through the conference tournament and hopefully the big dance. Great career for coach K, he’s been a very big part of this rivalry, but we had to remind him that North Carolina is THE TARHEEL STATE !!!!

November 1980 the year and month I was born. Same time coach K coached his 1st game with Duke. I have watched every game between these 2 teams since I was a child. I've lived in NC all my life and with these 2 programs NC has something to be proud of. I'm a Carolina fan, this was a tremendous win, but Duke has absolutely nothing to hang their heads about.

Greatest farewell tour ever!!!! Forget about all of the yelling, cursing K has done to the refs, coaches, fans, and opposing players. Forget about all of the dook players who have been arrested and never missed a game. Forget about all of the players that were paid under the table to play at dook. This coach will be remembered for losing his last home game ,with his biggest hype-man (espn), providing nearly 40 cameras so we could have plenty of angles to watch his unranked, biggest rival, humiliate him.......GO HEELS!!!!!

This ONE WIN goes down in history. All the money spent for tickets and Tarheels hands Duke a loss. Vegas is stunned. Odds had it other way with double digits!

It’s May 6, and I’m watching this again. This was the happiest I’d been until we beat them again in the Final Four. We’ve won 4 of the last 5, and extend the all time series lead. Go Heels!

This game was filled with ultimate nostalgic memories . Duke enjoyed the ultimate pregame and Carolina the ultimate regular season experience. The heels gave this historic coach a fresh taste of what it's like to lose the final and most important home game of his magnificent Hall of Fame career. Both schools celebrated a magnificent day.

Just shows how arrogant K is. There may be other and counter examples, but Dean Smith and Roy Williams announced their retirement during the off season so that the games remained about the players. If Duke lost due to distractions from the event, blame K.

What a SAVAGE L the Heels gave K tonight.

As a Tar Heel alum, I was very happy with the end result last night, although I have to admit to being shocked that the Heels pulled it off. Duke is easily the better basketball team, but the Heels showed the kind of fight that's been absent all year. I have an intense dislike for all things Duke, but tremendous respect for Coach K. Hate to say it, but he's the best to ever do it at the college level.

Happy to see the Virginia Blue Devils lose tonight. Each season, the team should be called by the state that they get most of their players from because they never have any from North Carolina. This year four of their starters are from Virginia. I don’t think they have one guy from NC. They don’t rep North Carolina anymore than Notre Dame reps North Carolina.

The Heels were the better team tonight. Duke has trouble with guards that control the game. The Devils came in with all the pressure an the Heels played with house money. One of the sweetest wins possible for a UNC fan. Spoiling Coach K's final home game in front of a packed house of Cameron Crazies going insane is like a Tar Heel fever dream lol. I think everybody kind of assumed that an unranked UNC was just going to lay down. This was an extremely impressive win in arguably the most difficult environment imaginable.

I'm glad the tar heels gave coach k a loss for his last regular season game against the tar heels like they did when he first coached duke against the tar heels many years ago. Dean Smith said coach k will be a great coach and he was right so they will probably win the acc tournament and maybe the national title for revenge for this loss at home but I'm still glad the tar heels won this game and hope they win the rest of the games they play this season.

I’ve been a Duke fan all my life, I mean my last name is Duke. It’s a shame coach K couldn’t get a win in his final home game but we still have a chance to win a chip

One of the greatest respects a rival can give you is play you beyond their capabilities. I have a feeling if DUKE had Won they would of placed the Coach on their Shoulders and pulled a RUDY, but maybe they decided to hold off on that celebration for the Championship Game.
