Get the folding stock for it. I keep one in my pocket every day as a back up. Always dependable.

I have an NA A in 22LR. I have to second your comments about it. The default wood grips are impossible to get a good hold on. The optional rubber grips are a big improvement. But that little revolver really showed my how important proper for in my hand really is. It is a good revolver, but the fit is worse than terrible.

Whether it is guns, knives or swords, the more experience I have the more "fits my hand better" is a key characteristic. Normally a gun is better than a knife, but inside 21ft, which happens to be a typical combat distance, a knife has a lot of advantages. It can be used defensively, it can disable limbs grappling in a way a .22mag might not and is a lot faster than a double action on follow up. These small guns look awesome, but I recommend trying one out before buying.

Yeah, it doesn't take much deliberation to realize this sort of mini-pistol isn't useful, for me at least. I'd rather carry a little 380 auto like an LCP or Bodyguard or a lightweight 5 shot revolver. that's small enough, and still useable, if for some reason my usual 9mm compact is too big. I always have a fixed-blade knife...just a tiny bit shorter (3-1/4") than the legal minimum for a concealed "knife" in my state (3-1/2"), even where state law says I can't carry a gun. I don't like folding knives, or even automatic knives, it's just not quite as fast and foolproof as a fixed blade. Yes, I realize some folks like opening and closing them like some sort of fidget spinner.

I had one in .22 Mag with the LR cylinder, carried it one time on one day with nothing else on me. That day the feeling I got was, it was not enough. While the ballistics it puts out could be enough if a shot was made, I felt like the overall ability to make that shot probably wasn't there. That made me look at it as a novelty. Not saying you couldn't make it work, but bringing it all together with adrenalin going, making a proper single action shot, hoping that shot does the trick - just seemed unrealistically to me. If I recall I was a better shot with it than you are describing you guys being with it, but I still felt like a thoracic shot or two would be unlikely to make a person with a gun, stop using that gun against me. So I get where you are coming from.

1000% man…. when then human trolls under the bridge are carrying a g19 with an extendo, you don’t want to get this out in a gunfight. Even if you hit them you have about a 5% chance of living through that after they come back with 17 9mms . Get real. In before “imma get a headshot” …no you won’t. When I’m out I’m fully armed, I’m not going for comfort, but ready to get after it in the case of a legitimate self defense situation.

👍👍Thanks for the video. I do pocket carry sometimes but I have never carried one of those so I don’t wanna say yea or nay. I pocket carry a s&w air weight in 38 spl in a pocket holster. It’s real easy to draw and you hardly know it’s there. When I draw the holster stays in my pocket and my gun comes right out. Never had a problem and it shoots well too.

🇺🇲🦅💜💜🙏🏼💜💜☕☕ I've been carrying my NAA for nearly 10 years. I've tried several grips, holsters, and different types of ammo. I carry it nearly every day, .22 mag with the folding grips. 90% of the time it's my backup for my Glock 19. Training is important, I can't think of anything more important. I settled on the folding grips after a lot of rounds down range. Consistent 2" groups at 20 feet... Which meets my expectations. At my age, and physical conditions a knife is not really a good choice... Although I'm rarely without a knife also... 😎 Mostly used for opening my Amazon packages lol 😂😊 I totally agree and understand your views, mostly "believe in your abilities, accept your limitations and act appropriately." Love this channel, and your dedication to sharing knowledge. Peace be with you and your Family. Stay Safe, stay alert, and as always stay the course. 🦅🙏🏼💜💜🙏🏼💜💜☕☕

I find in my 22LR one. (it is the only gun I have ever killed with or even had to draw or used to save my life and the life of my 3 year old, I don't really like to talk about it, but it was a surprise, it was fast and one shot, and really close. It happened of my front porch, before I had armed up with my regular carry gun). A high powered heavy round does best. Lighter bullets are really inaccurate. I carry 40 Grain CCI Velocitors in mine. Mini-Mags do OK, but not as good as velocitors. The Velocitors are still hard to shoot real accurately, but they have been the best. Things like 29 Grain Federal Punch and stingers do HORRIBLE.

I've never tried the NAA .22. Like you, I carry a knife but I also carry pepper spray. I know you don't care for pepper spray, but I just got home from a grocery trip and had it in my hand going to and from the car. Nobody sees is and it's not brandishing. But for a sudden, close range problem I don't have to worry about draw time because it's already in my hand.. When I need a very small firearm, it's an S&W .380 Bodyguard. It's larger than the NAA, but it's still very small. It has less grip area available than any other gun I have so I don't shoot it as well as the others. But, it's still fine at 7 yards but with so-so grouping. A lot of other manufacturers make guns the same size.

Brother, all that matters is that you get home safety. If you use pepper spray or whatever. It sounds like you have a good plan and at the end of the day. If you and your family are safe that is what matters most. God bless you and yours my friend 🙂

I put snake shot in mine. This helped. If you know what the 21’ rule is, you know you need a knife. Technically a handgun is for 30-75 feet. I do CCW but feel I need a rifle that is built into a jacket. 75 feet is close. The difference between a 2” barrel compared to a 14”barrel in .22 is amazing.

I carry a 22 mag just like you are demonstrating for 2 reasons with checkered wood grips. 1st, if my primary fails its my backup. 2nd, if my wife and I have to separate while out shopping or for whatever reason I can pass it to her. Last note, sometimes your hand my be already in your pocket versus unholstering from the hip. Stay safe.

Brother been a long while since I been on here. Great video as always. Aka (TheAverageCitizen channel). Deleted my channel awhile back but looking at coming back soon now that I am fully retired and dont have to worry about work repercussions. Anywho…I agree with your statements about this fine little gun. Just recently I bought a NAA 22mag and a Colt Gen4 22 short derringer for 60 bucks. (Got lucky) They are both real fun to shoot but like you shooting accurately was a problem. It would take a lot of repetition to become consistently proficient for me. They are very well made guns and may work for some people but for me it just wont do for an edc. But I do enjoy taking em out plinking.
