dmjdmj Yeah, and though he usually has punchlines, they are rarely the funniest part. Usually I, at least, am laughing my guts out before he can actually "finish" a joke. Norm didn't invent anti-humor, but he sure mastered it. I've watched this video countless times and I still laugh 'til it hurts.
Norm is always the best guest on whatever he's on.

I love how Norm is just always a comedian. He's always funny. He never blows smoke up anyone's ass, or kisses ass to be hip or cool, he just does his fucking shit, and it always kills. He's never like "Oh I worked with XXXX actress in this film, and she is just SO talented, and so easy to work with!". He's always just Norm, and fucking funny. The best.

I think Spade looks uncomfortable because he knows Norm is going to degrade him in a way in which there is no comeback.

While Norm MacDonald is a full on comedic genius, he's actually at his funniest when he's conversing with three people: Dennis Miller, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien. They understand him and play off him so well.

The reason why people usually seem uncomfortable around Norm Macdonald is because how 'real' he is. He talks without caring how any one will perceive him. This is not done in Hollywood. Celebrities care so much about how they will be judged and portrayed by the media. Norm is one of those people who reached stardom and was able to keep a solid grip on reality. Such a funny guy. I hope he makes new episodes of his podcast and takes steps towards improving his health.

Amazing how quickly Spade picked up on where Norm was going. And then he agreed with Dennis “I didn’t it coming!” Class act.
Norm is one of the funniest dudes ever. Absolutely hilarious.
I really like how brilliant Norm really is. He totally sets up Dennis Miller by calling Spade "a good" man earlier in the segment, then at the end says OJ is "a good" guy, then just sits there and watches Dennis' reaction.

The absolute joy on Dennis, Conan, and Dave’s faces when Norm was there was so obvious, so real, it says everything about what every comedian thought of Norm, The King.
I grew up watching Norm on SNL and I didn't get him at first. By accident I recently saw some comedy legends talking about him with reverence. I revisited him and I am addicted to his comedy stylings now . Have a bad day, play this mans work.
Norm is the most charming, watchable and re-watchable comedian of my lifetime. I just love his style. From his pre-SNL yuk yuk days to his most recent tours he's always been on top of his game.

I was totally gearing for Norm finishing off the interview by saying, "Even though he killed two people."
That Norm "AAAAAGGGHH" gets me every time.
I've been a huge fan of Norm's for decades and it feels like I've lost a member of my family. RIP.

Absolutely brilliant and hilarious! I used to not get him, but as I grew older and wiser I began to love his comedy. In whatever show he guests in everyone there becomes uncomfortable when he starts talking. He’s a comic genius. I’m going to miss him. RIP, Norm; you were one of the greats.

So sad to learn Norm passed today and I am laughing so hard I think he would be happy.
On an SNL Norm talked about homeless people with dogs, and how the dog has to be thinking "I can do this well on my own." Every time I pass a homeless person with a dog in Portland, which is pretty much every block recently, I flash back to that observation and start to laugh.

Oh my fucking god! Norm needs to be on TV at least three nights a week, The Sandler Myers era of SNL was my childhood.
Norm is so funny that I think even he is entertained by his stuff when he's delivering it. Like he's two places at once. As if he was in the audience watching himself. He's so funny and witty, I get memorized and almost don't laugh. Then the laugh comes, but it's more of an appreciation for how good he is.

Miller was a prime example of how many people resent another person being smarter than they are!...He is witty beyond belief, but it comes across as being snarky...but he always is listed as being among the funniest, by his contemporary comedians.

I'm not a fan of big Miller, nor do I dislike him, but I can admit that 90% of his solo stuff flies straight over my head. For me, he's best when in a group, much like when him, Norm and Nealon all did Spade's show not too long ago.
