Finally someone who showed how the browser extension works (I actually like the in-field nordpass icon). Other reviewers just repeat facts that I can find on the nordpass website but your review shows how it actually works.

Most of those reviewers work for the products they review... that's why Lol! Or they are paid voice actors who dont actually use the product, or both!

I'm someone who has been using 1Password for the past few years, and I gotta say, the UI for NordPass looks pretty impressive, and it's nice to see import options available for different password managers. Great review as always. On a side-note: I have tried BW many years ago, and I agree with you about what you said at 4:26.regarding auto-fill. I've noticed it's not so great, which is what drove me back to 1Password.

I watched this bc I added my password and I’ve had a login from Germany 😂

I do appreciate LastPass' auto fill but lately it's become difficult to use because when it auto fills something you don't want, you delete the text, but as soon as you delete the last character LastPass immediately autofills it again, not realizing that the user doesn't want that info in that box. (For instance when there's a shipping and mailing address field on the same page)

Nordpass needs to remove the need for the desktop app to use the browser extensions before I can even consider it. I can't install the desktop app on all my systems.

I think they removed it. I just got NordPass and I only needed the extension

Anyone can see the code so many people review it and find the holes in the Swiss cheese, the security flaws, so it becomes a much more secure and robust software

Agreed. Nordpass reviews are bought on almost every other channel. Concers exist that Nordpass is not open-source. There website talks about privacy-friendly jurisdiction, but what is that jursidiction? It's one thing to oppose court orders, it's entirely different to resist large sums of CIAsh for backdoors.

I don't think courts or the CIA are going to request user passwords from Nord, and even if they did they would only have encrypted passwords. That scenario just seems far fetched to me. Password managers are more of a security focused service and there really isn't much privacy that could be compromised (only thing I can think of is selling data about which websites you have accounts for, which wouldn't be that in-demand if at all). For VPNs, however, there is a lot of privacy that could be compromised. VPNs have full visibility into your internet traffic, so I think having an open-source VPN is important, unlike an open-source password manager. Sure, open-source is always nice, but I don't think it is necessary for a password manager. Also, for NordPass specifically, if they made it open source then their competitors could copy their superior autofill algorithms. Personally, I go with the following services: Bitdefender Total Security Proton VPN NordPass I did want to use Proton Pass, but that app is awful right now. It is still young though (

It's horrible. Don't waste your money. It's an extremely hard company to do business with. The customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. I'm just a guy that wants to use this product and pay for it but they make it extremely hard. Anyone you chat with is like chatting with a doorknob. And chat as it messaging and email. You. Any call this company. Wait 24 hours for dumb responses

I like Nordpass but I went to Keeper because it allows 2FA on websites unlike Nordpass.

I currently use Microsoft Edge to save my passwords. It also syncs with my Microsoft Authenticator app. What would be the benefit of using Nordpass over Microsoft Edge?

NordPass encrypts your passwords with a master password, Edge doesn't.

Open Source DOES NOT mean that something is better. We've got to get past this silly thinking.

Open Source generally means the main userbase is full of tech nerds. For security centered products it is objectively better.

Open source meaning it can be code reviewed by others and verify that it is truly private and not stealing data that’s what open source means on sites like Mozilla firefox

its fine, all the paid password managers are all very very similar. bitwarden is the only one that is open source and mainly free for everyone
