Noomi Rapace was a huge fan of the Millennium Series back when the books first came out, so you can imagine her excitement when the creators of the film offered her the part of Lisbeth.

She is one of the most underrated action and dramatic stars, bar none, and she's intelligent and fierce as tigress.

Ms. Rapace is a true artist. I LOVE her intensity but I'm sure it can't be easy for her all the time.

I can't speak for actresses because I am neither female, nor an actor, but I would imagine that the most difficult part of being an artist in this capacity are the limitations. You can see in the interview that she was READY for the intensity, but the director was not easily convinced. And I'm sure there are plenty of directors who look at their actors as components rather than artists in their own right. She would have to work harder to get past those obstacles in order to get to the performance she wants to present. I can see why she'd hate auditions so much, because the whole process based on establishing obstacles.
Noomi is amazing. I love her so much and TGWTDT is one of my favorite series. She’s perfect for Lisbeth!!

A true artist
Just like ruthgar hauer in blade runner who said he was 50% of Roy and that Roy was 50% of him. Noomi Rapace is Lisbeth. For me she's as talented as Ingrid Bergmann in her time.

I know Michael Nyqvist sadly passed away , but how about getting Noomi to team up Daniel Craig in the American sequels to Girl With A Dragon Tattoo 2011, ie The Girl Who Played With Fire, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornetts Nest, as well as The Girl who Takes An Eye For An Eye, The Girl Who Lived Twice. These roles were made for Rapace, no offence to Mooney or Foy but Rapace embodied the Salander character and she could easily film 4 more back to back.

Those american and english castings were so lame and even offensive to Lisbeth and Noomi. They were too pretty and known ,like they needed to ease the charcter for the audience ... Like Noomi said she is in control and doesn't obey and want to please anyone .
