I'm pretty sure that was only in Doubutsu no Mori e+, the Japan-only rerelease of the GameCube game. If you knocked on the door with a shovel or axe it would happen. Nook wore pajamas and if the shop was upgraded Timmy and Tommy would be in pajamas too

I think this actually was something that would happen in the original animal crossing, where if you kept knocking on the Nooks Cranny door Tom Nook would eventually let you in and would charge more for items after hours

Taking their uncle’s old habits to the extreme I see. Back in Dobotsu no Mori e+ (2003), you could wake up Tom Nook and get into his store by banging your shovel on the entrance after hours. The trade off is that the price of stuff is slightly inflated, but it’s no where near that amount!

If this was any other shop I'd question whether this is real or not. Sadly I've been there as they close and they just kicked me out. I didn't try to buy anything, they kicked me out and I was mashing a so I was confused. I looked it up though and if you're there at 10:00 they just tell you to get out pretty much.

This is a fantastically well done mod 😂

I want to see a Fan-made DLC where there are rumors that someone has been pirating a video game that Tom Nook has recently released into the public and people are trying to figure who's doing it as they point fingers at each other. You still have the same type of gameplay, but now everything is tense and you have to help Tom Nook catch the guy who did it before it's too late.

Considering this was actually a thing possible by hitting the store with a shovel in the original animal crossing I'd imagine it's only not a thing anymore because it's them running the store now and they're children That or because it was a little known feature and cut for budget

There's a feature in Animal Forest E+ where you can wake up Tom Nook after store hours. You do this by banging a shovel on his door 3 times.
