Non-Stop Brown Trout Fishing Action - Lake Ontario 2019

Спорт

It was windy, raining and cold but the bite was on fire for me. I must've landed 7 or 8 and lost about double that in a 2 hr window. At one point I was the only one catching. I had to make sure I had my line in the water at all times because I knew the bite can shut off anytime. I was on a mission to catch as many fish as I can that day.

    zoomzoomgt It depends on how fast the water is moving. I start off with an once sinker. If I’m dragging on the bottom it means it’s too heavy. If you don’t feel bottom it means too light. Find a weight that ticks bottom

    Do you mind sharing your bottom bouncing set up and techniques? How long is your bait line/ sinker line, what lbs test are you using, how to avoid snagging... i tried fishing here a few times but got nothing except losing tons of sinkers :))

  • @mattschrader5047

    @mattschrader5047

    Too much weight. Looking at the water he was fishing probably a number 5 and a number 7. 8-10 foot 10 lb leader off the main (12 lb main line) and 24 inches of 8 lb flouro tippet off a 3 way swivel. Drop the weight off a 3-4 inch piece of 12lb mono off the 3 way to help with lost rigs, with the main and tippet tied to the other 2 swivel loops respectively. The drift is most important once you get the weight right. Start inside middle edge and keep working out until you hit them. Throw little pink worms rigged wacky style, fresh roe bags, and egg flies keep tight on the line so you feel bottom. I would wish you luck, but armed with this info you will not need it, just a matter of time
