簡単に出来そうなので、挑戦してみるね〜♪♪♪
Thank you so much! Making dashi from scratch every time or buying expensive packets is inconvenient. I was thinking that store-bought dashi powder seems to be just this: milling the ingredients until they're fine. Thank you for confirming my hypothesis, and I didn't know that konbu & co. need to be dried further, that is very good to know!
Thanks, I'll do that with some packages I opened of those ingredients that got a bit dried instead of throwing them out. I don't have a microwave. You could make 6 types of dashi with those ingredients.

Hi I'm from indonesia. Thanks for recipe, I really like japanese soup with all variant dashi 😆 Can I mix them to make marumoto hondashi?
with the raw kombu isnt it better to cook it lightly in the oven before grinding?
So, do you combine them in equal proportions? By weight or measure?

I wasn't able to get the most high quality bonito flakes, but I was able to find a 1 pound bag on Amazon for $25. They look exactly like the ones in this video.

Its trendy to be MSG intolerant (allergy) but its better than using plain salt, gentler and a much better flavour enhancer.

It takes time to make those, but we really like the flavorful and the mild taste. Also it is fun to mix it taste the way we like:)
