Reading Viktor Frankl’s book, Man’s Search for meaning was very helpful to me after the death of my husband 5 years ago. I was married to my high school sweetheart, we met when I was 15 and were together 23.5 years. I’ve spent the last 5 years figuring out life and what I want out of it, coupled with grieving the loss of my life partner. I’m struggling with low-level depression lately, and I’ve been incorporating changes to help improve it. No phone in my bedroom at bedtime, morning ritual, warm lemon water, intention for the day, reading. Thank you for sharing your expertise and the reminder that even small changes can add up and make a huge impact. I’m a nurse, and I struggle with doing the things I know will make me feel better. I’m reading the book Buddha’s Brain, which talks about replacing negative thoughts with positive ones through repetition. Thank you for your sharing your insights. I’m very grateful to have found your channels. 💕

Hi Danni, I am so glad this helped you. Talk to your MD before so you know how to gently ease off medication if you choose that route. Don't ever just stop medication cold turkey! Let me know what other videos I can make that you are interested in, thanks Quenby

Thank you so much for this content. I’m an LMHCA here in Washington state and I am looking for more content on how to help clients dealing with trauma. Do you have videos on this?

I am writing down your suggestion. Funny, I am enrolled in yet another online course in trauma right now. I studied something called "trauma informed art therapy" also TI-CBT is popular and EMDR. I will make a video on it. thanks Quenby

Yes Chuck. I have struggled with anxiety and it is one of the most common referrals In my Private Practice. With Anxiety, the brain needs to be "rewired" with new thoughts and actions. It's not hard to do with a therapist. It is very treatable. Some of us have brains that are more sensitive and we go right into fear, and reaction, & "fight or flight" too easily. We need to recognize this, then say "hello fear, I see you, but you are not calling any of the shots". We need to move forward even tho we are afraid, and not let fear make any decisions for us. Each time we do something that makes us anxious and we survive it, we lay down new pathways in our brains. Happy To talk with you about it. xo Quenby
