plz react to most streamed k pop songs on spotify

Unlike other countries, K-Pop in Korea is literally "Domestic popular music", so it reflects more the general public's tendencies. That's why there seems to be a tendency to follow trends or generational changes more quickly. Also, the people of Korea still give generous praise to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation groups they used to love.

Honestly the fact that 2ne1 are in the top 20 for SK even though they haven't released any music for 6 years and their last album came out 10 years ago warms my heart. Hope they reunite for their 15th anniversary next year!

IVE and NewJeans are indeed the top tier groups in Korea no doubt. Even when I was roaming in the streets of Seoul very recently, most of the time, IVE's new releases and NewJeans recent releases are the ones playing in stores and restaurants. I think a great factor also is their audience range from elementary kids up to the adults. They are popular also to the general public.

Stray Kids are really big in Russia!

SKZ is really doing great in Japan most especially after the Case 143 release. It's still doing good and stable in the jpn charts. I'm so proud of them.

For Thailand for example you see groups high on the charts which have a Thai member, like GOT7, G-IDLE... :)

Stray Kids in Russia right now is ABSOLUTELY BIG like if you are in russia you know this. Lately there’s a ton of fanclubs as well streaming all their content its insane

It's very common that some groups that are big abroad are not as big in SK. There are much wider range of things that affect on how groups do in SK versus other countries. "Scandals"? SK might drop them like it's hot. Certain type of songs? ATEEZ was asked recently how do they cope with the fact that they haven't released a hit song for Korean audience - at the same time they were selling out hecking big venues all over the world. (And like it isn't obvious to us that they already do so well and make banger music - SK just seems to view it as a problem.) Also more cutesy type of groups do better in SK than in most other countries. Also, why is the title of this video "in each country", when there is just a handful of countries? It gives the impression that the video would have almost every country on earth (which would be a very long ass video indeed). The representation of Europe merged into just Russia is a bit weird. And Australia missing too.

In Brazil BTS and BlackPink are REALLY popular, especially BTS. I think Twice has always been well known and Stray kids are pretty popular now, but I thought TxT would be higher.

BTS. BTS only released YTC, that's why they don't have that much streams cz lots of other grps here released more than 2 but if u find a video like most streamed k pop grps on spotify in each country, then BTS is surely on top

yasss honestly cz I'm from Russia, not much like blackpink, well atleast idk any people who are blinks but that's why stray kids and BTS are literally most famous groups

The South Korea chart was completely unpredictable, Fromis 9 being higher than THE TXT, TWICE not even making the top 10 in their own country but being in the top 10 for all other countries, 2NE1 a second gen disbanded group still pulling such numbers, the top 2 being rookie 4th gen groups with number 1 being a baby group at this point, BTS not even cracking top 3. We truly are now witnessing the true transition to 4th generation, it's such a weird transition for my 3rd gen Stan heart.

Most streamed k pop grp in Melon in 2022 was BTs with almost 1B streams while the 2nd only got 600M streams. And yt isn't everything. U're jealous right???🤣🤣 BTS didn't released a new song other than YTC so it's so normal while all the other grps released a lot

YT constantly are deleting views from BTS MV. Also in 2022 BTS had 1 comeback in June with Yet to Come and then announced that they will be doing solo promotions, where the other groups like NJ and IVE had 1-2 comebacks. Also YT isn't in 100% reliable source of popularity of group. Better look at music charts

Girl groups are "the thing" right now. Maybe that's change when BTS come back from military. And when they come back they will definitely do it with bang

Bts was 4 i think cause this counts streams from march 2022 to march 2023, bts only released yet to come and now are doing solo. Blackpink is bigger outside korea, ive and Newjeans are their favorite girl groups now(don't know what is korea problem with blackpink really)

Blackpink was the 3rd highest group and the highest 3rd generation group so it’s pretty obvious that Korea still loves them. Idk why people run with this narrative that they’re not as big in Korea as they are globally

BTS and BP don't have to compete with other groups in Korea All Koreans acknowledge and are proud of them Both teams are great singers who contributed to promoting KPOP and are very symbolic They are rarely active in Korea, but they are in the top five It's a surprise in the highly competitive Korean market They already have nothing to achieve in Korea, and they have achieved everything I think overseas activities are better when they have time to focus on their country It's good to give rookies a chance to see the light (using a translator)

I think BTS is low in some countries because they are inactive now... But it's crazy that even though they are inactive they get this much views..

Just so you know ,bts is literally the only Korean act to have more than 10billion streams on melon . They hold every chart record ,they have the most streamed song on melon . They completely own the entire top 5 on longest charting songs on melon . They have the songs with most digital points on circle chart . They r the first act with the most paks in Korea . They have the most music show wins ,the most daesangs in Korea . I don’t know what your definition is of popular but they are literally dominating every charts worldwide possible .

if you know how korea treated, been treating bts until now. you'd be surprised. once went to Korea and not a single news or headline about them unless it's a negative one. "blackpink made a crack voice" knets and media defending them, same thing happened to bts and everyone bashing them. exo member still not enlisting" koreans defending them, bts doing the busan concert for Korea gaining lotta money from the concert but koreans and media asking why they still not enlisting. SVT' FML (10 versions and 500 photocards, )outsold BTS' MOTS 7(4 expensive versions) on hanteo. koreans and k-media "complimenting them and down playing BTS without even knowing the numbers of versions and price. but when jimin went no.1 on BB hot 100 the media look down into it saying it's because of mass buying(they break down every detail to downplay bts, but they would never break down why someone outdid mots 7) , also they were happy when BB suddenly changed the rules again and only jimin is affected cuz he doesn't have 90m radio play. but when jisoo didn't enter the bb hot 100, they still congratulated her for bubbling under hot 100 and youtube records. many more bs they did ahh no hate to the groups I mentioned, I'm blaming the media. koreans are even shocked whenever BTS breaks record, sell out or outsold, went no.1 in charts because they don't know how big they are cuz the media been downplaying them. one korean said "BTS' no.1 enemy is their own country"
