they also have a "band" version of this song! its "deja vu (anemoia ver.)" i think you would like 0x1= lovesong , loser=lover (both title tracks) As for bsides i would recommend farewell neverland, growing pain, skipping stones !(based from your reaction to this song) txt is known for trying out lots of genres though

oh my goodness !! i was so surprised to see you react to txt! i used to watch your anime reactions all the time during the lockdown!! txt is one of (honestly my only) favorite kpop groups! and they are definitely a group i would recommend to metalheads as i'm also one myself 😄 i recommend their most metal track, growing pain! my all time favorite from them🙏🏼

3:08 and 4:27 are both the same person! His name is Soobin and he is the leader of TXT! And yes I agree his voice is very nice. He’s known for his beautiful falsetto but I also really appreciate getting to hear his lower notes like what he showcased Deja Vu.

My second favorite K-pop behind BTS. They are ridiculously diverse from pop leaning rock and even have one heavy metal song that’s amazing, Growing Pain. Deja Vu is very space opera.

A ton of TXT songs have cheerful sounds paired with heartbreaking lyrics, although sometimes they mix it up and do sexy sounds with heartbreaking lyrics, or angry ones. And sometimes they're just sad. I'm exaggerating slightly, not *every* song is heartbreaking, but they really do lean into the sadness. Which I love. There's also a really lovely theme of magic that weaves through their work, and a storyline about growth and change. Their videos are always gorgeous. If you enjoy choreo, theirs is really neat - high intricacy, high trust, with lots of illusions. I think overall their dance style as a whole is my favorite in k-pop.

Farewell, Neverland is on a guitar framework but has that same melancholy feel - an absolutely beautiful song. My favorites are Good Boy Gone Bad and Frost.

Plus, you should next, listen to 0X1 = lovesong by them (yeah it's a strange name lol) but it has some rock vibes and it's my personal favorite (but also for many in the fandom).

They do a variety of genres, but pop emo rock is where they really shine! 0x1=lovesong, Loser=Lover, Frost, Dear Sputnik, Skipping Stones, Opening Sequence, Growing Pain, Can't You See Me and Eternally are my faves from their older catalog, but their latest three albums are really top tier if you do album listens. They are on top of Billboard Artist 100 for two weeks now besting others such as Beyonce, an indication to how famous they are😊

Love TXT!! For more songs by them I recommend Run Away, Loser=Lover, and 0X1=Lovesong. I'm not as deep into them as I am BTS, but their music is really good and their personal relationships with the BTS members is so wholesome! BTS consider them their little brothers and they all get along really well. There's compilation videos out there of TXT and BTS interactions if you want to watch those!

The thing about txt is that they’re artists in the true sense. Every song of theirs is unique and most of the time unlike what is “trending”. There is little of that repetitive lines and one beat sequence that is so prevalent in music rn. Nowadays there are songs put out that are like bags of air, puffed up but empty once you open them up. Txt songs always have substance and depth rooted in reality, not something one can listen to mindlessly once you understand the lyrics.

absolutely right ,at a time when artists are chasing virality and tiktok hits, TXT always manages to come out with art and real music with substance .they deserve to become #1 artist ,hope that becomes a reality soon.

Some might call it cliche but my favorite TXT song (and music video) will always be "0X1=LOVESONG" If you want to keep checking out other groups, I would definitely recommend "MONSTER" or "Tempo" by EXO for some stellar vocals.

That is my all time favorite TXT song also!

TXT hv a really big and complex storyline that runs through their music videos (they also have a webtoon called Star Seekers) I'll just put a really short simple explanation of plot Five boys come together under one dream to build a new tomorrow, they show adolescence and the heavy burdens and emotions that come with turning away from a kid and maturing into an adult. The storyline also has magic and fantasy

I know it isn’t a music video but Txt has a tiny desk concert of songs from their album, The Name Chapter: Freefall. They perform 3 songs and I think it would give you a quick look at their talents and discography! :)

They are an excellent group and recently completed 5 years, their story is very interesting and they worked hard to consolidate their name and work, since they came from the same company as BTS. Their discography is incredible and very rich, and they are never afraid to dare or try new musical genres. Their full album The Name Chapter: Freefall is a great example of this. They have the remixed version of Deja vu (Anemoia) it's amazing too.

I think you should know, that TXT has a storyline going on through their music since they debuted, and a lot of motifs in the MVs and lyrics are connected. Hope you will decide to check out more of their music and get into their universe :) Also, BTS and TXT have a nice senior-junior relationship because they are both under Big Hit (which is part of HYBE) and there are many heartwarming videos of them interacting with each other, cheering for each other during awards shows etc. There is mutual respect between both groups and I appreciate it a lot.

One thing with Kpop videos, is you can DEFINITELY interpret an individual meaning from a music video, however, with groups like TXT, Ateez, Stray Kids, and a lot of BTS's music videos, there's a greater storyline and lore that ties into the music video, that carries over all their albums and mutliple music videos and non-mv releases, so it gains a whole new, sometimes completely different, context within the greater storyline

TxT, I love Growing pain, the song doesn't have a music video but is so good. They are also one of my favorites, I love their lyrics.

TXT has an awesome story line going in their MVs . As you watch more of them you will start to see things meriored in other Mvs. One of the things I love about Kpop they have story lines that keep you suked in. A dream like state and magic is something you will have a lot in TXT MVs.

TxT is the 2nd Male group under BigHit. BTS being the first. So TxT uses a lot of the same production teams as BTS. BTS really looks after TxT as well as a lot of the other groups under their different labels under the Hybe umbrella which is the BigHits sister company. BTS had no one to look to for support when they started out so they want to be there as support to the other artists. I have watched TxT since pre debut when they were fan boying over their big brothers BTS. TxT has grown a lot over the years. We are proud of how hard they have worked to get where they are. 🤗

Thank you for a fun reaction :D I hope you continue to check out and enjoy TXT. Their discography is very diverse, but they find a way to make all their songs, regardless of genre, sound like them. There _is_ an element of sadness/nostalgia in their lyrics which helps, but they do have some songs that are just purely happy/hype songs...and some songs that are sexy, too, if that's your thing. If you like rock and metal, you may enjoy their previous album, _FREEFALL._ The title track, "Chasing that Feeling," is very 80s synth, but they have a harder rock fusion song called "Growing Pain" and grungier song called "Skipping Stones." "Anemoia" is definitely the theme of this comeback. I really loved hearing your interpretation of the song having never been involved or tuned in with TXT's music or lyricism before. You had a lot of good points and were able to make a lot of the same connections based off the vibes and visuals and paying attention to the lyrics. The only things you "missed" were things that you'd have no way of knowing without being familiar with their music, and I don't think that really counts since you're a new listener lol. If you want the extra information: TXT tells a continuous story of growing up/accepting oneself/accepting adulthood while still clinging on to some of the "magic" of childhood. Their debut song, "CROWN," feels like a story of learning to accept the way you inevitably change physically and mentally when you hit puberty by realizing someone close to you--friend or family or lover--accepts the parts of you that you struggle with, and their title songs grow from there to tell the story of a person who starts to grow into themself and face reality, with all the stress that comes along with that. In "Deja Vu," the five members's characters (not the real people, but the versions of themselves that they play as in the story of their music) have just come out the other end of a rough breakup ("Good Boy Gone Bad") and accepted that they can't live in their childhood forever ("Chasing that Feeling"). But just as they're losing the magic of their childhood, the five of them recall a promise they made to each other as children (again, in the story; the members did not actually know each other as kids), and struggle to find their way back to fulfill that promise of being there for each other, which is why "Deja Vu" ends with the scene of one member, Beomgyu, catching another, Yeonjun, and giving him a big hug. I would recommend listening to their title tracks in order, honestly, but if you want to focus only on their rock-influenced songs, you can try their Lollapalooza stage from 2023, or cherry pick a few songs for reactions like "Good Boy Gone Bad," "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)," "LO$ER=LO❤ER" (be careful; this one gets blocked on KZread often for some reason), "Growing Pain," "Quarter Life," and "Dear Sputnik." You should check out One Ok Rock, but their live performances. Warning you won't be able to stop once you start haha! They have so many amazing lives but you could check out their most recent music video Make it Out alive. A japanese band but a lot of their songs are in english. A live performance gravity, so far gone, good goodbye, 20/20, wasted nights, i was king.....etc the lives are always the best!

I really like your analysis and thoughts! TXT is one of my ults and I’m so happy with this new album. I highly, highly recommend their song 0X1=LOVESONG. Both the song itself and the music video have this desperate yearning about them, but in a different way than Deja Vu. Where Deja Vu is more dreamy and wistful, LOVESONG is raw and gut-wrenching. It’s a different genre too, so you’ll get to see a different side to TXT! A lot of their early early music is more youthful & pop because of their concept (a coming of age story) but they’ve covered a lot of genres! Since you asked about recs for other kpop artists, I highly recommend one of my other ults, Stray Kids! They’re more hip-hop, trap, noise music-y but, like TXT, their discography covers a wide range of genres including rock-ballads and tropical house. For some high contrast, I’d recommend their songs S-Class and Mixtape: OH to see their duality!
