Imo I think it would work if reactions to copyrighted stuff would work if they would just be uploaded unedited (no money = no editing) as it’s separate video. I think that way it could work out. That’s how I’ve seen some people deal with footage that will be copyright claimed once posted online.

So, the guy who "sings" on Unbending Steel isn't actually a vocalist! Epica would be a great suggestion of that genre, too. And to make the trifecta of Dutch perfect, let's add some Within Temptation as well (even though though they're not as classical, symphonic leaning as the other two). If we're already in that ballpark Exit Eden, Xandria, Auri and Delain, Tarja Turrunens solo stuff (as I know most suggestions that come up will be for Floor's songs, which is legitimate of course, but the other former singers definitely deserve some love, too), Insomnium, In Flames, Kiske&Somerville, Lacuna Coil, Leaves' Eyes, Phantasma (solo project by Charlotte Wessels, former leading lady of Delain), Sirenia and Soilwork, Triosphere and Wagaki Band are great listens as well (not exclusively for meshing metal and symphonic/opera stuff so well, though 😅 Can't blame a metal chick for jumping on that band waggon as well, since y'all already brought it up 😉
This was a delight. I legit made myself some tea just to watch. The dynamic between you two was really heartwarming to see. I kindly request more collaborations haha!

I’m so glad you showed him La Signora. Love that piece so much 🥰
I was sooo surprised by "Sie liebten sich beide". I would have never thought to see German lyrics - even more surprising that it's Opera and from a video game. Also, if you want to hear a really really good "modernized" song: In the game Bramble the theme of the final boss is so fitting, so well integrated and just... epic! had been a long time since I had such goosebumps while fighting a boss!
I recommend Supergiant Games' repertoire (Transistor, Hades, Bastion, etc.). Darren Korb always knocks it out of the park.
YEEES this is exactly what i want! someone whos learned of something and want to drag their friends in from other circles and sit them down like "listen to some vidja games!"

Composer Keiichi Okabe’s “A Beautiful Song” is literally a boss battle against an opera singing, mechanical Simone de Beauvoir sung in a language made up by himself, singer Emi Evans and game director Yoko Taro. Just look up Nier:Automata “A Beautiful Song”. Don’t be confused by the recent animated show, you’re looking for the PS4 game. Also, FF7’s “One Winged Angel pt2” from the PS5 Remaster (I’m sure this gets struck a lot.) Bonus is Casey Edwards+Viktor Borba’s “Bury the Light.” It’s hard rock, instrumental, metal, everything possible from DMC5. Not only does it NOT get struck but Casey Edwards has routinely gone into folks’ comments to thank them for reviewing/reacting which is awesome. Cheers!
Really good, id love to see him guest in another video or two and have both of you go more in depth on individual songs.

I love this so much, and I love people who think they know what video games are. Only to find out maybe their not what they thought at all, and that's encouraging as often video games and the people who play them, are looked down upon.
I get that there probably aren't as many views with the whole stream uploaded (since 90+ min. is hard to watch in one sitting) but I hope that it's still out there somewhere. Never heard Happy Chaos before, but maaaan, what a wild ride that song is! Wow!
The singer for Unbending Steel didn't actually want to do it. They really needed to convince him and to this day he isn't happy with his performance (allegedly).
