I was the only one crying in my family who got the message about this beautiful movie... at the end my family just said what that's it? no action? no drama? os suspense? and there I was wiping my tears in front of the tv, thinking about life, thinking about dead, people come to our way for one reason, to teach us something, to show us something, to guide us, to feed our spirits, our souls and sooner or later they have to go, or perhaps I have to go, but this is the life that we have to enjoy, embrace every moment you have, life is just a moment, even thought we think that our trip is hard and long, lets just live and love.

Extremely touching movie. I cried throughout it, especially since I have such a profound connection to nature and the purest place inside one's soul...the "goodness", as the director describes it. Such simplistic beauty displayed in this movie. The tender piano soundtrack heightens the emotion. Nomadland was perfect for the times we're living in. Connecting with nature and being "real" are so important, because we're only here for a short time.

I saw this movie last night and was thinking about my mother, she passed away last year due to kidney failure/diabetic. The last scene where Fern and Bob talking abt seeing someone we love down the road again really made me cry. What a beautiful movie.

Omg I just watched the movie on channel 4 British channel. I had my doubts about it. I thought it would be boring long etc. But seriously by God. Wow. What a performance from Frances... So happy she won as well as chloe zhoa and the best Oscar movie. ❤

The scene of white hair cut falling gave me flash back of me cutting my father hair when he was diagnosed with chronic disease a month before he died. I am grateful I spent time with him before he died and try to do the same.

The predatory ads about stock trading prior and during this serene music video surely rattle the very sensitive nerves of listeners.

The solution is to pay for YT premium. It’s so freeing. No ads and it’s not super expensive.

best film i've seen in years

Movie hit me hard. Realize that there is more to this life than wealth and status, through all the pain these folks carry everyday they still treat each other with dignity. Beautiful film

Oltremare means Overseas. I think for this movie it symbolizes being far apart from people. Hope more people are discovering Einaudi from this film 💜

This Song was already famous in our country almost from 2013. Ludovico Einaudi Is Simply a genius and a master of piano player. I love their Song so much and has been the best choice for a sound track of a master piece as Nomadland . I've seen It twice . Fantastic.

This soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment to this transcendent movie; stark, beautiful, sad, heartfelt and lonely. It's the sound of the American spirit in today's world of lost forgotten souls with little means, trying to survive and live lives of meaning. Chloe Zhao has created the essential movie for our times.

I loved the movie, but it seemed to focus more on Fern's sadness and yes, her struggle to find meaning when it appears she will spend the rest of her life dealing with the loneliness and loss of Bo's death and the death of her community. The book by Jessica Bruder examined the growth of the vandwellers as a cultural phenomenon that has arisen as consumer culture and rapacious, destructive capitalism erode themiddle class. People are being tossed on the junk heap when they're in their 50s, and Amazon is no savior -- but is exploiting them till they injure themselves trying to beat the clock (the robots, in this case, in the fulfillment centers) and then are too young for disability, but too old and crippled to get hired. I am 70 and very far removed from my affluent boomer peers -- closer in fact to the precarious state of the vandwellers although I have a house and vehicle that are paid for. THere but for fortune go I. On the other hand, seeing the movie, reading the book, I feel the call to pack it in and hit the road and fall into the spell of the road community, and the open sky.

@@ms.ntropy3187 I haven't seen this movie, but I suppose we can't blame the economic calamity and subprime crisis simply on the capitalism. The consumer culture is responsible but it was conceived in government policies and regulations which assumed a small group of people at the Federal Reserve and other government entities can make better decisions than millions of people making independent decisions also known as the free market forces. They didn't respect basic economic rules and played fundamental roles in leading the country to the current situation.

Very strong movie. And this song made me feel something about my life that I did not feel before. Not in this sense. It's that we have to try harder, to be with the ones we love. We are never enough with them in todays life.

I have thought a time ago that in the future I might end up living the kind of life portrayed in the movie. I own my own home but will be retired soon. I have thought what life might be like to be perpetually on the road as my job has me driving for a living and have always liked driving and seeing the scenery go by. Always like camping too. This movie invoked a lot of emotion that I could really relate too. This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It had heart, soul. love, nature and all the good things that life is about. There is a type of person that relates heavily with nature. This love of the outdoors that always keeps you dreaming of being out and around the beauty of nature. The very things I myself have always loved. Thank you to the people who wrote, acted and produced the movie Nomadland. Downlaoding the beginning and ending song onto my Spotify playlist.

I read the book first while waiting for the movie to come out. I've watched this movie so often I can't count. It soothes me. I'm about to embark on my own nomad journey in my van. Here I go.....

Because it's not an original score. This track was composed by Einaudi long before the movie.

Watched this film early this morning and loved it. The music is so hauntingly beautiful that I had to pull it up to listen to it again while I did my online work. Frances McDormand has always been one of my favorite actors and the rest of the cast was superb, as well. Thank you to the makers of it. p.s. You may need tissues.

The music as well as the film itself reminded me very much a wonderful film called Autumn (Sonbahar in Turkish) by Ozcan Alper. Both films take us beatifually into the heart of deep melancholy of losing beloveds and into the reality that life is very beautiful but the price we pay for is very big.

Not everyone gets this movie...this soundtrack and movie touched my soul to a depth I cannot explain.

One of the the best films I have ever seen. All we need is love and acceptance..and owning our truths..and that's enough. One can relate to Fern in many ways..this piece of music is an excellent accompaniment to the movie.

I saw Nomadland last weekend. Great story and film. This piano piece set me over the edge - tears rolling my down my face at the end of the film and now again listening to it now. I am not very emotional but this broke me down. Thank you Mr. Einaudi for this great piece

The second song in the trailer is Ascent (Day 1) or (Day 2) (not sure which exactly) by Ludovico Einaudi from his Seven Days Walking album.
