Great job to NBC on the coverage and amazing amount of replays. NBC is by far the best motorsports production we have, especially in Nascar

@@MotorsportsonNBC Fox needs to take notes, especially since the last time a Nascar flip happened it took them like 5 replays to even notice a car was upside down.
So grateful that these cars have become so safe in the last couple decades. 💜

The cars but also the barriers have more cushion as well. All things to take the impact energy off the driver.
Dude's so calm and mature.
That crew did a heck of job turning the car up on it's side and holding it there then moving it slowly back on it's wheels!! Safe cars save lives!! And glad the driver is ok!!

@Boxscot49

I wouldnt call it gentle the car hit the ground so hard it bounced
I honestly don't see anything he did wrong. I really think that he just had a bad tire on the left rear. I wonder if the car was setup for simulated qualifying or not. If it is, it's possible that right front wing was pushing too hard coming out of the turn and raised the left rear tire just enough to get it slipping and sliding. I mean, realistically it only takes a few millimeters at that speed when the tires aren't making full contact with the road to start losing control.

Your'e making too much sense, stop it. Take my like and comment, lol.
Look at the contrails off the Rear Wing. With the reversed air flow direction what once made Down Force now creates Lift.
Hats off to the NBC team, cinematographers and announcers asking the same questions on my mind and the camera crew doing a fantastic job with the shots !
Been going to Indy since 66 love how far they've got in safety!!!! Fine young man!!!
stunning, the hardest part is the landing, respect
His crash almost reminds of me of Colton’s practice 2 years ago!
The Halo keeps proving why it was such a good safety inclusion to the sport of open wheel racing.

First, it’s NOT the halo, its Aero Screen Second, Aero Screen have no effect in this crash, this type of crash happened a lot of times, stop glazing Aero Screen
@Swiftmonkey

@@NexXxu Indy's halo was implemented as a result of the F1 Halo. It has saved lives in multiple sports. The IndyCar halo is used as a structural frame to support the aeroscreen.
It would be nice to see a bar graph with the throttle input, real time while they're doing these laps.
Glad he was able to walk away. these dudes have balls of steel
theres a slight wiggle in the previous turn on the left side as well guys, the camber is not right at the moment of slip. check it hinch
At first I thought he got too far down on the curb like the other incidents but it looks more like it just broke late in the corner

Air on wing backwards caused lift?

Atleast it wasn't as bad
As the car traveled along the wall backwards it packed the air into and under the floor and over the rear body section in the reverse direction thereby creating lift.

Please show me the roof on the car.
Up and over!!… up and over
My opinion is it started in the previous turn. He looked like he entered it at an unusual angle and set him up all wrong for the turn he lost it in.
Intelligence young fella!
Danica P did the same thing years ago. He is alive, all that matters!
I don’t understand why Townsend or Karem or Hildebrand etc aren’t driving and there’s always a million rookies that have no idea how to win this race.
"Roof"
The drive can not get out of the car on h8s own if the car caught fire or he is very injured.
They can just buff it out, right?
The commentators have really been good during all this coverage, but these Indy drivers on ovals have steel kahunas!
At least it didn't blow over and over.
It’s not a complete Indy 500 month without someone going upside down
Who is the rocket scientologist who titled this video "ends up on his roof" ? Show me the roof please.
Nice coverage NBC... Thank you for honoring the Great American Race... in 2024. ESPN Knew how to do it too. Show F1, in Europe please.... LOL
All the track side help are always big guys 😅 how about some skinnier people 😅
Siegel too aggressive young drever
if indycar ran a real rear wing that actually did something he would not of lost the rear like that
