You can jam your face into the ceiling and cast eggs to get them to up-shunt through the ground. If you put a teleport spell in one you can get back to the previous level from the holy mountain. You need to get the egg to crack open before you get teleported, but there's one guaranteed way to do it: When you move far enough away that a chunk unloads the eggs in it will break and get cast.

I stumbled upon this by accident when setting up a trap for Steve. Had like 10 eggs filled with explosive cross. Went to to the other side of the holy mountain to test my wand for damage came back and the eggs broke. I then had ten explosive crosses flying towards me because I didn’t kill the fish yet.

I enjoy pretty much all the Noita content I see, but I especially like this 5-to-10-minute "here's a neat little trick" format.

Something worth noting is that the eggs, unlike most projectiles, are like tossing flasks in that their velocity is determined by your cursor's distance from the player. If you aren't confident in your ability to catch the egg and there aren't any pools of water nearby, you can click on the player itself to cast the egg very gently at your feet.

This feels like it could be extremely useful when you’re forced to work with a high mana, low mana recharge wand. That allows you to make one very expensive modified spell, and store it for throwing when you need to while the wand recharges and you use another or move away.

the explodive projectile with hollow egg is just a grenade in a shape of an egg

Something that got discovered a while ago was that if you have an egg in your inventory when you get polymorphed, you actually drop the egg (which is what happened with the barrier egg). So eventually someone came up with a big combo with stuff like "projectile polymorph field" + "creature polymorph field" + "summon dirt" and then after a delay "drill + curve down" or something similar, which resulted in: When you get polymorhped and drop the eg: Surround your sheep form in a big circle of dirt -> convert all nearby enemies to sheep -> convert all nearby projectiles to be harmelss -> dig a way out so you dont suffocate. It's a very late game config but considering poly is really one of the only ways to die that late into the game it was a pretty interesting use for this niche mechanic of dropping the eggs when you get poly'd.

Much like real eggs, they go bad if left unrefrigerated for too long.(The players inventory is climate controlled but requires power it gets from the computer) Truly noita is full of realism.

You know, as much as I love homing piercing trigger into more homing unstable crystals, i got to admit that trigger into explosive eggs or materials it simply amazing

One strat i've heard of is making a big pile of eggs on the ground and then cracking them all at once for massive burst damage (aka another home made nuke variant)

I remember using hollow egg with explosion as an offensive cast, that was pretty epic.

I have never once in any of my runs found a circle of vigor. I hear people talk about it all the time as the best way to heal yourself, but it must be super super rare.

A follow-up to the healing idea, for people who feel the need for more than one circle of vigour, you can add 3 Delayed Spellcast in between the two. This would look something like : [Egg] [Double Cast] [Circle of Vigour] [Delay] [Delay] [Delay] [Circle of Vigour]

So the egg mortar is very handy because it is an accidental kill droping 2x gold on death and you can use it even without explosion or fire immunity, if you have a teleporting cast it will spawn far away and basically never hit you unless you spawn it above you or in the water, and the speed buff from teleporting cast gives it more velocity giving you more range and decreased chance of exploding. And faster projectiles perk, pinpointer perk, shield perks, and enemy dropping gold perks all synergize well with this combo (also the explosion and fire immunity of course). Also its cheap and easy mid game only really requiring one common and 2 slightly less common spells both having possible substitutions, and a few optional but very helpful spells like speed up and recharge. Melt a big worm in a second. Optimal in larger spaces like 3 and 5, but can also shoot through hissi and thin vault walls. Its not a final boss killer but it makes you money, can dig soft material pretty good to get gold powder, is unlimited, cheap mana use, and you get the bonus chest for not killing enemies. I like it

Today is the 01/09/2022 , i just went back in noita school and learned after 1 year studying noita that you can actually grab and store an egg.

I always have thought the egg mechanic was super interesting, as it allows you to create your own super powerful consumables! The only issue I have with it is that I tend to never use consumable items in games, and as such have tended to ignore the egg mechanic, despite it having some super cool tricks

2 years later and I'm just now learning that eggs void their spells when you poly. The more you know

Actually with infinete spells, summon egg can be used to farm infinete cash since the charm on the creatures is gonna wear off and they r just gonna start killing eachother and dropping gold since they still count as regular monsters.

Cash is kind of useless though. You get enough for HMs from killing enemies, and the gold box gives you 200k and is faster than any cash farms.

I remember about a year ago, I was helping some guy win his first run on the Noita Discord. He had picked up a few nukes along the way, and he wanted to use them before the run was over. When it came time to prepare to fight Kolmi, we figured something flashy and cool would be best. So, I told him to drop a few nuke eggs around the Komi arena, pick up the salt, and teleport away like hell. He did, and he managed to get away before anything bad happened. Everyone in the call was sort of waiting in anticipation. Then, his game lagged, there was a little flash of light from off-screen, and Kolmi's health bar emptied. Everyone was absolutely losing it. Gotta be one of my favorite memories from this game.

What happens if you egg stack spells with the letter mu(M) and omega(Ω). Can't you and theory make a multicast that multicast's every throw/break if you can get it applied to all projectiles?

Dude what if you tried making an egg with a multicast and having the end of that multicast having ANOTHER egg inside of it that triggers afterwards? For example an egg that had 3 fireballs in it on a quad cast with the fourth cast being ANOTHER egg that turns your projectiles into power, which powers up a homing magic missile.

well the eggs being able to be placed and picked up is obviously intentional but the thing that maybe wasnt intentional is walking into a polymorphed liquid with an egg will cast the spell inside the egg

Wonder if you could package Cessation in the egg and that would clear the Poly timer?

Meanwhile I've yet to unlock anything useful and I die to the most basic enemies.

Imagine having someone throw an egg at you and suddenly 3 homing nukes come flying at you from that egg...

Do one one the "chicken" egg - crash the game to save yourself.

Quick question tho, since I don't have any pc right now : what happens to modifiers on the cast egg ? Do the modifier re-applies when you throw it again from your inventory ? You could for example make upward matter eater infinite by just casting an egg with it and then simply throwing the egg up and catching it when it falls down again. If it's the case, do modifiers stack each time you throw the egg ? Like if you have an increase damage, does it adds damage every time you throw the egg ?

No, the egg has to break for the spells to trigger. So it's a one-time use.

I have noticed that eggs won't be lit up by a light spell, but rocks can become a permanent light source. I think the matter eater causes them to self destruct though You can use the musical notes for infinite matter eater

if you go into your inventory and click + drag the egg out of the hotbar to throw it, the game doesn't recognize that you're the one who threw it (this goes for all items, so you can get guaranteed trick kills with tablets this way), or that you're the source of the spell. if you have Boomerang Spells, you can use this to your advantage because the triggered spell will boomerang towards everything other than you

Not a very useful spell, but a very fun one. Get polymorphed? "Fuck this" button, store nukes, omega black hole, omega sawblade, whatever in an egg. You were probably gonna die anyway. Probably. I don't know why but it just feels satisfying to "store" a spell without needing a wand. Very nice for spells that you'll probably only want to use once, so you can use it to store that spell without needing to replace any of your old wands. Specific boss killing spells come to mind with that.

You get the No Wands reward statue as long as you don't enter new biomes with no wands in your inventory. Pick up a wand, cast it, and put it down; you are still on a wandless run, according to the game itself. Source: Noita Wiki -> The Work (End) -> Reward Statues -> No Wands
