When I found CESSATION spell in the run. I thought the coordinates for my run would be random. But they are the same 3, 20, -33. After thinking a little, I accidentally realized that these are the brightness settings in the menu: Brightness 3, Contrast 20, Gamma -33.

If someone still doesn't know, this brightness is needed to find hidden symbols in the world, so don't expect that you will get something if you set this brightness.

I was expecting localization files or something equally insubstantial. The name of the spell just fucking SENT ME! Edit: Holy shit I just watched the rest of the video! Reading "The Gods Cannot Find You" and "-Are Looking For You" is so ominous. Before, the gods were presumably omniscient, and could see everything, and when it said "The Gods Look The Other Way" it was presumed to be meant figuratively, synonymous to "The Gods Disregard Your Deeds". But now, we know the gods are actively watching the player, and when they disappear the gods go looking around the world, their vision zooming past the terrain, the depths, the heavens, the souls of creatures, and they cannot find you anywhere. Now, the anxiety this revelation induces is toned down somewhat if we imagine the gods watching you on a big sceen.

I can see cessation being insanely useful in certain contexts, and that Mimicium is utterly insane. Infinite storage pile of any liquid you can find? Yes please. Well, I'm off to touch_grass.

The phrases *The Gods cannot find you* and *The Gods are looking for you* are kind of terrifying. I kind of imagine that the gods at least *believed* they were omniscient, and when you suddenly disappear off the face of reality permanently, and they literally cannot find you, they first get confused, and then concerned. “Uhhh I can’t find the Noita…” “What do you mean you can’t find them? We’re omniscient. You can find them wherever they are if you focus a bit” “That’s the thing. It seems like they aren’t anywhere. They casted some spell and now they’re gone.” “So they died?” “N-No… they’re just… gone. their soul isn’t there… or even a shred of their essence… It’s like they never existed…” “W-what?” “O-Oh shit…”

I wonder if you could use cessation to outlast the end of everything. I assume you could just increase its duration? My assumption is that the 1 reduce lifetime turned it into an infinite?

It normally only deletes you for like a second. The reduce lifetime turned it into an infiniwisp I think. So if you just stack a bunch of extra lifetime on it you could maybe outlast it.@@fallatiuso

@@fallatiuso as far as I can tell, after cessation goes through its duration you pop back into existence. So as long as you don't turn it into an infinite, I would assume you just pop back eventually. If that's the case, then you should be able to make it last for roughly however long the end of everything goes for.

Infinite i think will just end your run, however you can just use some divide by spells on the increase lifetime modifier or something similar

My guess is this hints you need to adjust the brightness ( luminosity ) settings yourself. The indicator of the numbers letting you know it’s those settings

happened to me too was trying to do some of the tablet puzzles on a long run and lost everything but the mimicium could be useful for alchemy because some liquids are hard to make a lot of so alchemy is getting easier and easier with each update

i found a watchtower and some floating temple thing that i forgot the name of to the left of the map though since this was on an old save i can only see the background and the names of them but with this spell making it so the gods cant see you i wonder if it has something to do with the watchtower

it sometimes spawns on the right side of the map

i dont know what they did with the world generation, but after this update im getting more and more wands at the start level, i usally reach the holy mountain really dry, no hearts or wands, but now i have like 15 runs and all of them grabbed more than 3 wands, this is amazing, i manage to do an op wand (for my standards) like a machingun with homing and freezbolt with the green balls, i got killed by the knokback like 10 mins later, hard to maneuver, but that was amazing, best run so far

I wouldn't be surprised if those coordinates were (World, X-axis, Y-axis) and for anyone wondering, 20, -33 is near the starting point of the starting world. I'm pretty sure it's the same point that world teleport wands take advantage of.

step one, get 1% gold transforming stuff which i forgot the name of step two, get 10% lively concoction step three, find two large open spaces without liquids step four, get sea of mimicium spell on a wand step five, go to one of your open spaces from step three pour the gold transforming stuff in and quickly cast sea of mimicium before it touches the ground and turns into gold then bottle some of it store the bottles in a nice secure location get more bottles and get another batch you should get around eight bottles of it step six, go to the other location pour lively concoction and right now i just realized you can cast the spell before throwing the stuff in so actually you only need 1% lively concoction and you throw the bottle down in the pool and bottle a ton of it quickly before it goes away

i wanna see that run!!!

What happens if you put lifetime down + cessation into a trigger egg, throw it then polymorph? Permanent poly (your original body doesn't exist) or just ceasing to exist as the polymorphed entity. Another thought. If you can make the spell move, will you reappear at the new location?

I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CESSATION!!

Also Cessation might be a more canon way to do a 34 orb run since it tells you your coordinates. granted, you'll still need external tools, but won't need a mod/quitting out and reading files constantly, making it more valid
