Totally agreed. This narrative which suggests that it has something to do with Lebron or Rob Pelinka is ridiculous. The NBA is a business. These guys have agents and their agents job is to get them as much money as possible in the best situation possible. We see that with Demar DeRozan and saw it with Klay Thompson.

No buddy. Kings didn’t have that much to pay him either. They had no cap space. Remember they only acquired him because they were able to trade Barnes and Duarte Salary (25 million) with the sign and trade. Lakers could’ve done the same exact thing.
