What people don't get is LeBron has always interacted with the young guys on a team. He brings teams together, coaches and offers advice to the players around him. And he's a fun dude. Think back to young Cleveland with the side line antics, team photos, handshakes, etc. Add all that to his actual ability, preparation and committment to excellence, on top of his best player for decades aura, of course he won that poll. No active player walks on a court like LeBron.

Not to mention he didn't have any standout role players like maybe gsw, the spurs, or dallas in 2011 cause all those team had great role players & real consistent scoring off the bench.... dallas in 2011 only had one current all star but kidd & marion were former all stars, chandler was dpoy form it's a reason they swept the lakers the 2010 defending champs & that's the only way i see a player with lesser current all stars beating a team with more he has to have the right type of role players some of probably need to have been a former all star or great defensive players so any given night they can rewind the clock but still play the role the team needs iguodala is another example as he became an important role player winning with gsw he was a former all star you don't make the all stars unless you consistently played at a high level & it can lead a valuable role player when such player starts declining

I now understand why Skip hates LeBron so much. Skip gets up early, works out hard, takes care of his body, always puts maximum effort into his craft, and thinks he can win with whoever. LeBron does everything Skip does, but does it better! Michael gambled, smoked cigars, and stopped taking care of himself after a while. Skip still has that over MJ, so he has a fondness. But LeBron is more talented at his game and works harder too, Skip admires and hates him for it, lol!
