It's infuriating but understandable. The guy who built the team that won them the chip was hired by the Timberwolves in 2022. So it's highly likely they don't have the front office intelligence to compete with the smarter GMs in the NBA. Hilariously enough, that same guy (Tim Connolly) was absolutely hated his first year in minnesota by the fans... well we saw how that turned out.

I saw flashes of the old Westbrook during the second half of last season. He was very effective, but the coaching staff did not seem to pick up on it. I think that Lue coaches with a plan in his head, and not on the fly - which is what the best of the best coaches do.

I don’t understand how anyone doesn’t understand this. Having a ton of energy is great, but it means very little if a dude shoots you out of the game and gives the ball over to the team. If Russ had even a mediocre level of efficiency, he would be so much better. But he’s just so out of control much of the time. Since the KD-Russ OKC years, I’ve seen no evidence whatsoever that he’s the kind of player that can affect winning in the postseason. This is so plain to see, and I don’t understand why people get defensive about it. It’s ok to admit that he’s not the player he used to be.
