A couple of months after the tragedy the wife sold the house and bought another one for them to live in. Things left around the house are from the latest tenants, NOT FROM THIS FAMILY. The youngest daughter is now also a doctor after her father. People who worked for him say he was a really good and honest man. Mother fell into depression after the tragedy, the kids seem to be successful grown-ups now. Amazing video, thank you for sharing it with us, Jeremy!

While some may focus on the greed and excess of this beautiful mansion, I find the story of the family more intriguing. What it must have been like for this family to have had to move out within 3 months of losing father and son. The inability to take so much with them. Was it because the bank wouldn’t let them, or the inability to take so much not knowing where they would go and the loss of the breadwinner leaving his wife to support the remaining 3 kids. While I appreciate seeing the mansion it leaves me wanting to know if the family landed on their feet. I care more about the human story than the lavish mansion. It’s like reading a good book but being denied the end of the story. I enjoyed the tour though.

I see a young wife wasting all her husband’s money on mindless trinkets. I’ve heard of people hoarding stuff like this without even removing the price tags. The irony is that this piece of architecture was never a cozy home, but an unreasonable display of wealth and status. Fate gave this family A LOT, but at some point it decided to ruin everything again. Now the house is not even the status symbol it was created to be, but ... nothing, i guess, as it will be difficult to find a new owner. To me, this is a lot of real badly spent money and a tragedy.

Sadness for the loss for the family, regardless of rich or poor makes no difference.. It shows you come into this world naked and will leave the same no matter how much money or mansions you have..besides the loss and grief for those you leave behind.. and if I had the money and means I would purchase this estate and make something good out of it.. if this is left much longer empty more destruction will follow. So Sad - Never had any idea this existed.. . Thanks Job Well Done🤔😮‍💨😒👍

As a glazier by trade I can say all of the bathrooms had expensive frameless showers in them. The mirror job in the upstairs bathroom is a nightmare to install. What struck me is all of the tools that got left behind. If my tools were in there when the eviction came, I would retrieve them. In my eyes they don't belong to the bank, they belong to the tradesman that purchased them to work. What a waste of a great home! Painful to watch all this craftsmanship just wasting away...

Can't even imagine the pain and devastation the wife, mother of the man that died with his son can't even imagine this happening to the wife losing your son and husband all at once then to find out your home is being taken from the bank because your husband didn't pay his life insurance. My God how would you not lose your mind if you went through all this. A home not finished so it could be sold. I'm sure the home may have been able to be sold but not for enough to cover what was owned to the bank. I pray the wife the woman that lived here and list so much is OK and somewhere and some how is safe and OK.

As a widow of a man that died in a house fire 2 days b4 Christmas, I can tell you the wife was probably so distraught losing the husband and a child that material things meant nothing. All she probably wanted was her family back. My house was a total loss & I never returned to get anything. Some family & friends went and brought me a few small things. At first all I kept saying was I didn’t care about it, I just wanted him. It wasn’t until probably a year later that I missed sentimental things. I watched this thinking how many of these I have watched and how many homeless people sleep outside or in tents. We have ways to curb homelessness and these mansions could be used as temporary housing.

You bring up an interesting observation. I think that's what sets some of these locations apart; it's like stepping into a time capsule where the conditions are remarkably preserved. The fact that valuable items are still present and the place isn't trashed could indicate a variety of scenarios, such as a sudden departure where the owners couldn't take everything with them, or perhaps it's a lesser-known location that hasn't been disturbed. It does add an extra layer of mystery to the story, doesn't it? I assure you, what you see is as puzzling to me as it is to you. But that's the allure of exploring these places; each one has its own untold story. Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful comment.

I think a housing crash will happen because all those people who bought homes over asking price, although it was at a low interest rate, they are over their heads. They have no equity if the housing prices continue to go down, and if for whatever reason they cannot afford the house anymore and it goes into foreclosure because even if they try to sell, they will not make any money. I think this will happen to a lot of people especially with the massive layoff predicted for the future and the cost of living rising at a high speed.

If the bank has taken over the property, surely they will conduct a survey first, gather all the goods, and sell them at an auction. Afterward, they will put up security around it. This video seems suspicious because the individuals enter the mansion through a broken window near the swimming pool in one shot. However, in another shot, the presenter enters through the main door. The question arises: where did he get the key from? Banks typically guard such properties to prevent vandals from entering. There is something very fishy about this video.

The guy who owned this house he had it built as a reward for him and his wife and 4 kids 3 girls one Boy at the time it all happened he had 6 medical facilities an they was very close to completion of the mansion but the dr. Moved the family in 2years as it was being built up around them witch was pretty cool but also the dr. Was a very big hobby pilot sadly him And his 15 year old son got caught up in a storm returning from a Business trip they was flying a single engine turbo prop plane and not sure if it had engine problems or just storm complications but they sadly crashed into a mountain after that the wife was left to take care of her 3 girls and she also learned shortly after they still owed 8 mil on the property and still had to finish it ultimately they couldn’t afford to pay off the remaining debt and couldn’t afford 50k a month mortgage the bank gave them 3 months to sell the mansion from there not much known other than I did some digging and found out the youngest daughter was inspired and hugely looked up to her father even when she was soo young she wanted be a dr. Just like him so after all that happened I guess her mom couldn’t completely care for her so she moved in with her grandmother in Chicago where she started her first 2 years of schooling and within the first year her grandmother passed from kidney disease while on Dialysis her mom knew she couldn’t be completely good in Chicago so she begged a principal in there hometown where her farther was hugely known and the principal gave her a shot and her mom drove her a hour and half to school everyday to drop her off and she is now a dr. Just like her dad and I must say I bet her dad is soo proud she’s just like him even when things got hard no matter what she made her dream happen

One, you were once an illegal mexican who gained citizenship thru a program like DACA, courtesy of the taxpaying public of these United States (in that case, youre welcome for our gracious charity) or your handle is a play of words on the fact that you are a Mexican American who went to school and became a lawyer of sorts, and if thats true you most likely needed a scholarship (more charity sponsored by successful Alumnus, again, youre welcome), unless you come from a wealthy family that paid your way. I doubt you put yourself thru law school (if you are a lawyer) because if you did, you would appriciate the story of another self-made man and wouldnt be bashing someone over being successful. Either way, you've benefitted off the charity of the wealthiest Americans. The US doesnt have any money, its not a business. The only money the US has is OUR money, the money we pay in taxes and despite what some of these politicians say to get elected, the wealthy DO pay their fair share of taxes. The middle class pay the majority because they've been the majority taxpaying block. The poor pay sales tax and thats it. The wealthy, the smallest tax paying block, pay the highest rate in income taxes. Do stop with the bashing of successful Americans and stop believing the lies of the activist crowds that say the rich pay nothing and contribute nothing. Have you ever been hired for a job by a poor person? Didnt think so.

Great question! The presence of dust in abandoned places is actually more complex than you might think. Most people believe abandoned places should be thick with dust, but that's actually a misconception. Dust in homes primarily comes from human activity - dead skin cells, textile fibers from clothing or upholstery, pet dander, constant air circulation through HVAC systems, the list goes on… but In an abandoned building where there's no activity or air circulation, these common sources of dust simply don't exist. So, while you might find dirt, decay, water, or even mold, you won't necessarily find a layer of dust on everything. Also, dust accumulation depends on the specific location, environmental factors, and how securely sealed the building is. Isn't that interesting? It's just another example of how every abandoned place has its unique story to tell.
