It adds more flair to the character which is nice

For the gun sounds in the house invasion I actually really like the detail they put into it due to the guns being suppressed they aren’t super quiet like most shows and movies portray suppressors and they aren’t to loud either but instead have just enough sound to them to actually be realistic to the type of gun they used and the amount of force coming out of the gun. However I do agree the debris sounds should have a little more oomph to it.

Also the muzzle flash was unrealistic because the suppressor would have covered up the flash.

It's been a while but,I think the movie peppermint did a proper job sound wise with the Honey Badger Jennifer uses?

It's meant to be a joyride. I think the reason it lacks emotional range is because so does Hutch. He loves his family, sure, but it's a part of him that's utterly dwarfed by the REST of him. That being, a man who revels in chaos, destruction, and WINNING. The joyride aspect is that everyone has a being like that stored somewhere in their psyche. To see it unleashed is the joy.

This movie is actually where I first saw Bob Odenkirk perform. After seeing it, my parents recommended Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul to me and absolutely fell in love with those titles.

it was the opposite for me, I saw breaking bad and then nobody and then I didn't watch better call saul for awhile but now it's my favorite show

Ilya Naishuller is such a talented Director and even singer / songwriter. Having directed Nobody and also Hardcore Henry, he always has these little cameos in each of his films where he gets killed on screen. A little easter egg for the fans! Love it!! ❤❤

@@crezzac I really wish they would make a sequel to hardcore henry but the film looked like it had a moderate budget for the time and not many people paid to see it in theaters (almost everyone i speak to has never heard of the movie)

@@billywillythefrog9523 According to Ilya, he'd love to make a sequel, but because most people ended up illegally downloading the film. That wasn't possible. If you do want your fix of Naishuller action though, look up his band, Biting Elbows. Shorten the Longing as an album has a variety of music videos shot by Ilya under the company "Versus Pictures" the same one for Hardcore. Look at "Heartache" "Control" and "Boy is Dead", they're absolutely amazing. ❤

I honestly loved this movie and thought it did not get enough love. Glad to see someone else truely enjoyed it.

Saul has had enough of the shit he has to put up with Walter and Jesse in season 3 and he fucking snaps

Something I love about your channel is that you have such interaction with your viewers. Now whether it be by chance but the fact that almost a year after you uploaded your breaking bad video you still responded. But even then still liking most comments is still a lot of work. This, John Wick and Equalizer one are the best classic action movies since basically the 90s

For what this movie is, it is one of the best John Wick-esque movies that have been done. Simple story with simple characters and badass action that keeps you wanting more

It kept my attention the whole way through, it was entertaining & that's all I want from a movie, to be entertained.

The editing in this film is top notch

I loved this movie. It is a really underated movie

This is a great throw back to the 80's action movies people like Bob O and I grew up on.

Reason the guns aren't as loud in the second home invasion scene is due to suppressors though they would indeed be louder due to the way that sounds bounce of walls

@@fosterrico5546 Alright so as I said before in that particular scene would be louder, and I never said that a suppressor would be completely quiet. Now im not gonna say that your wrong, but the overall use of a suppressor is mostly used to help regulate the amount of noise made from a firearm, and can be used just for avoiding hearing damage. Though in most movies they are perceived as this device that completely gets rid of the noise (John Wick). And after some more research, and calling one of my friends who is a firearm expert, we both came to the conclusion that even though they are meant to be "silenced" they still will have a loud noise think of a loud pop as an example, and that the only thing that it really does is take away the "echo" of the shot. Now granted me and him may be wrong and feel free to do your own research. And if anybody wants me to I will link a KZread video of someone firing one and you can listen to the shot yourself. (Also this is in now way meant to be rude, its just a simple explanation)

Really enjoyed the movie, and the video. loved the bus fight so much that I watched it 6 times over with my brother.

The rifle seemed to have a silencer on it, thats probably why it was so lack of impact, and why the other guys didnt hear it

I would still argue that in a house where everyone is being quiet and stealthy you're still going to a hear gun being fired with a silencer and the commotion of them fumbling about

I don't even wanna admit how long it took for me to get the joke in the title

It's a bit campy and shlocky, doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's why I love it.

When I saw that Ilya Naishuller directed it, I knew I had to watch it immediately. Didn't disappoint at all, it was even better than what I hoped for. The classical or just older music during fight scenes worked amazingly in both of his films.

Because it came close to having both. I can think of plenty of other movies that are fun schlock and commit to it 100% Crank and Crank 2 for example. I'm not upset, I enjoyed the movie tons.

Better Call John Wick

I think Nobody is one of those movies like Mayhem or Cocaine Bear where you aren’t meant to have a super thoughtful watch but rather just strap in for the kickass ride that insues as saul Goodman gets to play John wick and beat up a bunch of bad guys and doc brown has his funny assassin scenes to add to it

7:39 the rifles sounding too quiet actually is quite realistic, they have suppressors on their rifles, it's not james bond silent, but not ear blowing, just like they should sound

I think him not really caring about burning his house down was really a metaphor to show us how the life we was parenting to live really didn’t matter that much to him. If you notice he does grab a family photo before leaving but that’s about it. So yes he does love and care for his family but not much besides that matters because of his past. He is involved in something bigger and the “normal life” is just something he was trying out.

Yes a firearm can sound that quite with a suppressor, and not hearing the hits sets the stage as nobody is taking control of the situation because he is more focused on the attackers than the sound

@@drivernephi5587 that's exactly wrong. There's enough evidence out there I shouldn't need to explain this. Firing a suppressor IS quite enough to fire without hearing protection. That's the main reason people buy them legally. Look at a silencer co. suppressor or anyone else who makes them

@@davidlynch5235 a suppressed .223 can be up to 140 decibels and sound starts to be unsafe at 70. At 115 decibels with 30 seconds of exposure is enough for permanent damage

I seen it once and I probably won't see it again.

Imo it's pretty clear the cat bracelet excuse is just an outlet for his fruatration from being stuck in the imperfect reality of the simple life he thought he wanted, or something. The reality is that he craves violence because there's where he feels thrilled and in control. Pure escapist fiction of the best quality.

7:50 The guns look like they have some type of silencer. Imagine going into a neighborhood as a bunch of criminals to take someone out and having a regular weapon. Sinencers are generally illegal, although I've known people that make them. If you know Breaking Bad, Mike attaches a silencer to his gigantic pistol when he goes into the warehouse in episode 3x13. Otherwise those shots would have been much louder.

Did you hear his neighbor's car engine switch like 3 gears as it reversed out of his driveway? 😂

After watching Better Call Saul I could literally pick out each and every scene that made this movie. This movie is obviously what he wanted Saul Goodman to be.

i feel like this movie was a long intro to a 4 hour movie

I really like there was no cliche bullcrap like losing someone (and momentum)/being beaten in act 2. It was really something that I didn't like about first John Wick because there are no real stakes anyway, the hero has to get out of that somehow and it makes the villain look incompetent. I was expecting something like that during Nobody many times and was so glad I got so positively subverted. Loved the movie. Even his wife was okay with him, perfection. It wasn't really high stakes action drama. It was a movie about a guy stuck in an unhappy tedious existence getting to have some fun with his friend and father and remember good old times, which gives him a new breath of life.

One thing I don't like is even tho the guns are suppressed they aren't super quiet so how did none of the neighbors next door hear that man

Editing is a tough journey. My recommendation would be to invest in the editing software you want to become proficient in and use the hell out of KZread, it's how I learned most of what I know for Adobe Premiere Pro. Also, maybe consider night classes at a film school or even cheaper classes online

This movie really feels like John Wick 1 based off what I saw in this video but I'll probably watch it someday

The gun inside the house has a suppressor on it. But they arent magic and a rifle of that caliber would still pretty loud, enough to cause permanent ear damage to someone. So its a good detail that its still loud but not loud enough. Also they kinda messed up by giving the guns flashes. If you are sitting in the forest you arent really that stealthy if you get lit up everytime you shoot

I didnt watch this movie when it came out purely because im not that much of a action movie fan. Gonna check it out now tho
