Noam Chomsky on Bernie Sanders and why Trump's reelection would be an "indescribable disaster"

Bernie Sanders has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race - but that doesn't mean the movement Sanders sparked has failed, and it doesn't mean the stakes aren't still high in the race between remaining contenders President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. "This is the most crucial election in human history, literally. Another four years of Trump and we're in deep trouble," says renowned linguist and political dissident Noam Chomsky. "It's common to say now that the Sanders campaign failed. I think that's a mistake. I think it was an extraordinary success - completely shifted the arena of debate and discussion," he says, adding that the Sanders campaign also inspired a wave of grassroots activism among the Democratic party's rank-and-file that a Biden presidency could potentially be sympathetic to. "Suppose Biden is elected. I would anticipate it would be essentially a continuation of Obama - nothing very great, but at least not totally destructive."

In my experience, Chomsky is very right. As an activist, there is a huge difference between a Republican who just tells you to get lost, and a Democrat who gives you a meeting. At that meeting, the Democrat tells you why they can't do what you want. At that crucial point, you offer solutions to their reservations. Once you get the meeting, the activist switches from a protestor to a consultant (just like corporations hire outside management consultants). You come up with the solution to the problem (be it political, fiscal, or logistical), the Democrat might say "that could work." Then they adopt your policy and take credit for it. Any real activist knows this two-step. Anyone who thinks politicians ever do anything because you 'demand' it in protest marches, that's not a real activist. The only thing the protest gets you is a meeting. But with the Republican, you never even get the meeting, you just get a FU.

Republicans never need a meeting with Democrats because we can read their minds in their sleep And we let their fellow cohorts lick up their drool at dawn to begin another great day.. Democrats are never anything BUT activists. They protest, raise hell, whine & moan. But they NEVER accomplish anything truly significant. It's all just window dressing. The only point I can give Democrats is that they're articulate. Very articulate in bullshit, and they leave no questions unanswered regarding their true intents, even though they're selling us something different - fools gold. A pile of shit dressed up like a bar of leprechaun gold. Their motto is always "finders keepers, losers weepers." As for Chomsky, he is by far the most intelligent idiot in history. Watch Trump debate Biden. He knows what Biden is going to say before Biden knows what he's going to say. Do any Democrats REALLY think he has a chance in hell of being Pres?

It's pretty damn sad that they're giving Americans the choice between a sociopath/psychopath and a cognitively declining senior citizen, neither of which is capable of leading our country into the dire straits we are heading into. Either way Mother Earth will continue to be destroyed and we may not have a future inhabitable planet for humans to survive on. I worry most for my grandkids and their children if they should have some. I won't be around when the worst happens but I still care. The question is, Why doesn't everyone care?

Biden can only do as much as a newly democrat Senate will allow. Obama was limited in what he could do by Mitch McConnell and the Republicon Senate. Regrettably, he has dropped out from the struggle to get the nomination of presidential candidate this time, but many people of all the world still are confident in total righteousness of his statements he appealed to the people. His message will be for ever and you will stay for long in our hearts. Three things: 1: your country has no army or navy. 2. Your country isn't free. A tweet that criticizes your government means you're in a cell. 3. When the economy of the USA collapses, when the US Dollar collapses, your economy and currency will follow in a day. Bonus: The reason why Donald Trump will be reelected is because THE PEOPLE are in control of the United States. You will NEVER EVER understand that. Your mind is too feeble to understand. Thanks to Noam Chamsky, still the most viable progressive, socially and politically aware voices are coming from within the US, . Trump's racist, anti human, anti environment, seduo-fascist era back lashed with Bernie's social democrat movement suddenly turning into a viable political, social and environmental movement which is not going away as long as there is an american society. The sudden surge of this movement is not exactly a Trumpian achievement, rather it is symptomatic of a deep flaw within US democracy which has gone unnoticed especially after the fall of USSR. with GOP presidents starting with Ronald Reagan continually shedding the most basic human values untill the emergence of Trump. There could be no worse US president, but if he is reelected, it's the end of democracy not just in the US, but for the entire world.

Young people are so tired of staring the small screen. At the end of the day any human is more into mental lift and Sanders is capable to deliver that. There is just a pinch of larger group of people who are more capable to receive positive things than negatives. That is why right-left setting is so equal all around world. Also a consequence is that a good guy occasionally get elected here and there. Telling people that this and that way different kind of folks is bad and should be punished as solution to individual probems has more limited possiblities than telling people that they can live in safe, peace and harmony if environment and situation are healthy. Both types of messages must be delivered in inspiring way to have any effect.

Noam Chomsky has always been my idol but In recent years I have disliked his acceptance of moderates like Obama, Hilary, or Biden as a last choice. I would of enjoyed his perspective on how the Democratic party will never represent true proggressive ideals with deep state players such as HRC and Nancy Pelosi. Or for example the once respected progressives such as Elizabeth Warren endorsing HRC instead of Bernie Sanders in the 2016 election? How about Elizabeth Warren running against Bernie in the 2020 election? What's wrong with our once promising party?
