Dude I love that she said that, ive had people (my asshole ex boyfriend...) straight up tell me that songs can only mean one thing and have one emotion specifically what the artist originally wrote it too be and while I like to understand the original meaning and emotions of the artist but that doesn't mean people can't take away something different from whatever song

as someone who listens to a lot of vent music, i was expecting it to have some sad, vent type meaning but this is so so refreshing and all the beautiful metaphors i love it so so much. this song is the embodiment of who i want to be.

Listening to this song for the first time was absolutely magical to me and hearing you explain the lyrics now showed me just in how many ways this song could be understood. It's really impressing how you wrote this masterpiece at 16, while i'm sitting here, turning 18 this month with no achievements 😭

Not everyone achieves everything they want at the same pace. Also, achievements are different for different people! I'm often ill and stuck in bed, so I find it an achievement when I can just have a good day! For some people, an achievement might be something like having a good, memorable time with their friends. For others, an achievement might be learning something new. For others, it might be writing a song! But there are always people out there that are better at things than you or me, and that's not something to feel bad about. People get better at things at different times.

I think that waiting 59 years for life to pass without living is more difficult than restraining someone from "climactically breaking free" and achieving...you have time, and watching it sift away is just as painful as changing one's life; but it's far more boring.

You're a really underrated artist. In one song, you can touch many diffrent subjects, like the truth about the universe, fate, humanity's imperfection and even maths. And on the top of that, it makes a lot of sense and most important IT'S SO GREAT TO LISTEN TO! I hope Your career grows and I'm really glad to be a part of this. At the moment I'm 16, just like You when writing the song and I often think about same problems so that song is so relatable it feels unreal.

The mix of feelings i experienced when i first heard this song just can't be described, it gives off a unique energy. Just stay strong and keep going!

She’s awesome for saying if the song means something else to us that’s okay. As an addict in recovery I interpreted it to be about addiction & recovery especially the second verse. For example: *-Thinking institution’s the solution.* There’s many institutions that help individuals overcome addiction but ultimately your sobriety is your responsibility alone. *-Imagine reducing yourself to your name.* In AA/NA meetings you’re known to the group as your first name + & I’m an addict reducing yourself to such. *-Janet, you’ve got no one else you can blame.* Recovery is about taking accountability & accepting you’re where you are because of your decisions & actions no one else’s. *-You've stuck all your conscience inside of your brain. So, now you just shoot stuff inside of your veins.* Addicts use to escape as a result they lie to convince themselves they don’t have a problem to continue numbing themselves to reality. *-So go ahead & find your meaning with your methamphetamine & once you can see you’ve trapped all your grace maybe you’ll join me & girl we can race.* When in recovery you see others still in active addiction & hope one day they’ll realize what you did & join you in sobriety. *I can run faster with no wind resistance, I’ll fly under no conditions. Teach myself complete submission while I grant myself complete permission.* Drugs take over your life & weigh you down, when you get sober you’re more free. To get sober you have to submit to the fact you have a problem & grant yourself permission to overcome it.
