    I would like to let everyone know that the developers have been pumping out a remarkable amount of hotfixes, literally one a day at this point, and they have ironed out a lot of bugs. Durability has been a point they have been working on, essentially making tools and such have a lot more durability, and they have also been working on the stuttering and lagging problems as well. It's not perfectly fixed yet, but they are being proactive with making the game as good as can be and are actively listening to the community for the fixes.

    I think the game might be pretty close to release so this is the perfect way to early access a game. Small pay for early levels. You get feedback from people about balancing/bugs & you keep releasing something daily. It's smart@@MzAbbyxz

    Game is honestly so much fun, the game got a balance patch in the first 24 hours and they clearly care about this game. Money well spent in my book. They fixed 3 problems he brought up in this video alone, more food, less durability loss, more repair powder, stamina cost reduction across the board. Think hes loving it now probably

    Dude, 99% of negative stuff about this game can be summed up to "too difficult", "doesn't run on my computer", and "can't rebind buttons". Played 4 hours so far and yes, I can understand how people will find this hard, but I've died three times and two were fall damage and one was a glitch. Am I going to say "just get good, noobs"? No. I will offer help. Protip: If the game is too difficult you can create a new Realm and farm items in the first location (with your already made character). You can sell for money to buy stuff or craft more healing items. Protip 2: If you have low health and are near a Cerim Whisper, touch it then remove your gear and die to fall damage and you will return with full health. Full heal without using food. I tested both of these and they are viable options if you're having trouble with the game. Good luck. This game is AWESOME so far and I cannot wait for full release. I hope they don't make it too easy to appease everyone.

    One of the biggest problems I've seen with people who try to create their own soulslike is that they focus more on trying to make things difficult rather than try to make things fair Darksouls games and bloodborne are difficult but the catch is that the build you make is meant to help compensate stats with skill If you're a big tanking beast you can sit there and eat a hit or two then trade blows and if you're a light build you can get in and out while attacking and evading After that the boss may have giant swings or continous attacks but you have a brain and infinite retries to help you identify the pattern and match your style to their rhythm But thats where the problem occurs as many recent games have focused on trying to make you suffer needlessly A game I played called soldiers had this issue where it gave you limited dodges that had a 1 second cooldown but bosses that would have continous attack patterns, it gave a block but gave the boss a form of repeating super attacks and the craziest thing was it gave a mage and archer attacks with limited range on their attacks meaning they had to get into near melee range to attack which defeats the point of the class system All I'm getting at is that gamers like a challenge we like increased difficulty but the difficulty shouldn't come due to a restriction on your character that the boss is meant to exploit It should come at the method by which the player aims to challenge the problem. Make the difficulty come as a true test of skill not as some boulder that needs to be pushed up a mountain only to be brought down again

    Damn. I really hope they remove or nerf the weapon durabilty system, and change the healing system too. From what I understand, all healing is consuables and you need to cook meals for better healing like in breath of the wild. I agree that one of the worst things that can happen in a game like this is to be fighting a good boss, and then you have to leave to go farm heals and repair everything. That just doesn't gel with a challeging action game where you're going to die a lot. I was excited for this game, but unless they change those 2 systems, I just don't see myself getting it. Otherwise it looks really cool.

    The originality in this game was enough for me to already make it memorable. 100% worth the experience even if it never was developed further! Yet, they're pushing out updates almost daily for it. I think this is going to take a place in my favorite games book right next to Dark Souls 1. Note to @GameRanx, really polished video and I like the information presented. Pretty in-depth, good sound quality, and smooth transitions. I'd love to hear a different presentation though. Instead of pros & cons it was definitely a cons & pros approach. Felt like, 'these minor bugs here and there just are annoying me... but it's an AMAZING GAME (as an afterthought)'. Thanks for making the video none-the-less! Good work (:

    It's V-rising meets Elden ring if you ask me. Its tricky at the start. The first hour can be rough (I debated refunding) but glad I stuck around. Combat is weighty and satisfying, enemies can feel unfair at the start but once you work out parries and dodging to expose critical backstabs it becomes a lot easier. I'm currently level 17 and so far I can trivialise most mobs. Definitely some things to fix (no option to respec. certain materials don't drop often enough).

    How is it "timeless" when its brand-new?? Jfc people just use words they've seen repeatedly used without knowing how to properly use the words. Do you even know the meaning of the word timeless? Because it doesn't seem like you do.

  • @PsychoRavager

    @PsychoRavager

    29 күн бұрын

    @@marquislexil, you're the one that doesn't seem to understand the very definition of the word. Anything that won't age in a particular sense (in this case, art direction and overall visual style) can be considered "timeless" whether it is new, somewhat relatively current, or older. For example, a lot of PS2 and even PS1 classics have that charm due to the limitations of the hardware back in the day. With a new game like this, it's the combination of a gritty feel along with the cartoony (not derogatory and not out of place at all) proportions, shading, and so on that will help this game live on within that context because it's not trying too hard to be realistic. Try reading any reliable dictionary and talking to people that aren't part of whatever echo chambers you're stuck under next time. Oh, and my day job is that of a digital illustrator in the indie art space/industry. So, it's quite important for me to know what good, unique art styles will live longer than others. Hopefully, no one craps on your meal, again, in the future so you don't start off your responses with insults disguised as supposed well-meaning assumptions.

Devs released 2 patches with a couple days of release addressing so many issue. Definately still needs a iron and some baking, but have high hopes for this one. Edit: 7700k +1080ti @ 1080p performance = ~60fps in town and area before town. After the town the fps is iffy for unknown reasons considering there appears to be less detail. And sometimes have to restart game to get frames back.

    Man I thought that at first about the health and eating system, but I honestly learned to save my food and healing items for when I need them like a boss fight. When you die you just spawn back at a check point, enemies don't re spawn after you beat them so you can make your way 1 enemie at a time if you have to. I just went into my boss fight once I was ready then only ended up needed 3 healing items for it haha I did great. (My only complaint is performance.... even on RTX 2070ti I don't care how low you set it its still choppy 😢). But I figured I'll hold off and let them get it where they want to get it and dive back in. Great game

    When it comes to the Durability mechanic I kinda wish developers would lean into it to try and encourage players to use different weapons and thereby different moves and playstyles. For example, there are some games that will drop many different weapons that will do different things. That can be fun. However I’ve seen games that have such a thing in place yet have weapons with weapons that have stats and just get better. Which forces a player to be picky about what weapons they’d wanna pick up thereby conflicting with the want of the dev to have the player pick up and use different weapons. What I think would be neat to see would be a game that did have a durability system BUT when something broke you could take the pieces of said weapon and hold onto them that later on you can make a different weapon of the broken pieces. Like for example take a broken handle of a axe, the broken end of a hammer and then craft a weapon from it. And you could even attach stats to those broken pieces. Like say the handle gave an attack speed of say maybe 3. But the axe that was on the handle only did maybe 20 dmg. Well, adding the hammer end gives 30 dmg and you can add the handle. Further, you could also make it so that when things break you will probably NOT get back pieces. Like say the Axe head that came with the handle? That axe got demolished somehow and all you have is the handle. And further, any broken pieces you don’t really use could also probably be used to reinforce or add minor stat increases to weapons you’ve been crafting. There is a lot I feel devs could do with the durability mechanic but I suppose maybe the right game hasn’t come alone yet. I feel the idea I suggested is really meant for folks who not only wanna try different weapons but also appreciate crafting and just getting better weapons. As well as being big hoarders of items. Which admittedly is actually a lot of players all in one idea.

I've actually found myself enjoying the game. I've had to re-calibrate how to play an ARPG, slower, more thoughtful in combat. I'm still dying a bunch, but I appreciate that using the rest sites don't reset the game and enemies, so i have felt like I can make consistent progress forward. I'm about 4hours into the game and really enjoying it. I will stay the separation of character from Realm is utterly brilliant. I really which other games would do this.

    So one thing that people were hating alot (early on, but they buffed it significantly, really quickly) was the durability. But even without buffing it, all you needed (then) was to add the (repair) rune on a 2nd or 3rd main hand. Build up 150 focus, swap to it, repair and Voila. Now though after all the durability buffs, that rune is sort of obsolete to me. You have to repair very seldomly, and when you need to repair it only cost like 40-60copper (I remember before the first buff to durability I needed to spend well over 2silver to repair everything!!!) So yeah, the devs have been quite actively making adjustments. Can't wait for more of the story to be unfolded, and to see what's next cuz right now it's like if you were to start Path of Exile, and play through act 1 and only act 1. So much more to uncover.
