    Thanks for sharing. For everyone's benefit - one want to use solid dummy pieces of metal in the edge of last row of panels for S5 holder clip (and those should be of the same size as your panels) to have them secured (panel from one side, similar size piece of metal from another side). Otherwise the holder can slide off the panel at some point. It is especially important for the bottom row. Just take a look into S5 guide. I am also considering S5 products for my project now.

  • @NormanMcGregor

    @NormanMcGregor

    8 жыл бұрын

    My metal roof cost $1.44/foot. Here it was actually less expensive than regular shingles but on the mainland shingles are usually less expensive. The main advantages for me are, I can add solar panels without putting holes in the roof and the roof will last more than 50 years without needing any repairs. Shingles constantly need repairs and only last 10 - 15 years.

  • @NormanMcGregor

    @NormanMcGregor

    3 жыл бұрын

    The company I bought them from was a Canadian company in Burnaby BC but they closed in the 2008 economic crash. To figure out how many panels you need along with the other equipment you need, you first need to know what loads you want to run and how long they need to run. From there you can figure out what you need.
