I will install solar on my carport. And will skip the roof. Install homemade rails directly in the structure :) So the panels will be the roof...

Sounds interesting! You could also use our SolarFoot or VersaBracket to attach a custom fabricated racking system directly to the structure as an alternative. Good luck with your project!
